Chris Daughtry to Join Rumer Willis on CSI: NY

American Idol favorite Chris Daughtry has signed to guest-star on the 100th episode of CBS’s CSI: NY, PEOPLE has learned.

Also bound for the same episode are Rumer Willis, who has already shot her appearance, and Scott Wolf.

The 100th show, set to air in November, centers on the pursuit of a serial killer who targets people named Mac Taylor à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ the name of the character played by the show’s Gary Sinese.

Studdard was busy promoting his debut album in the retail giant’s Atlanta, Georgia store in 2006, and was approached by an autograph hunter – who turned out to be his now wife Surata Zaui MCCants.

“American Idol” pianist appears in Rohnert Park

Michael Orland, associate musical director for the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“American Idolà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  television series, will lead a master class for local singers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 28 at Sonoma State University.

Michael Orland, associate musical director for ‘American Idol,” will teach a one-day class Sept. 28 at SSU.

Sponsored by Roustabout Theater, the resident theater company and school at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, the session will be open to spectators at $12 per tickets. A question-and-answer period with the audience will follow the class.

‘America’s Got Talent’: The Final Five!

Last night’s episode of America’s Got Talent was a fascinating study in television. For who would have imagined that they could stretch five people getting kicked off the show into a half-hour ep? What could have been a five-minute segment at the end of another show turned into its own spectacle, complete with a musical performance by Natasha Bedingfield! I’m still baffled as to why she was there.

When a formula works, producers stick to it like gum on the bottom of, well, a dancing shoe. And “Dancing with the Stars,” is back, formula intact.

There’s the recently retired athlete, the reality star, the glamour girl, the singer. Again, producers collected a good-looking bunch, many of whom might even be agile. LOS ANGELES It has been said of dancing icon Fred Astaireà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s partner Ginger Rogers that she had to do everything Astaire did, only backwards and in high heels. In other words, men may lead in dancing but it is the women who are the real force.

Need proof? Four of the six Dancing With the Stars celebrity winners have been men.

The seventh season starts tonight at 8 on Ch. 5, 6. Female professional dancers Kym Johnson, Edyta Sliwinska and Karina Smirnoff will be under pressure to make their male partners look good. This year they have been paired with gridder Warren Sapp, comedian Jeff Ross and chef Rocco DiSpirito, respectively.

    Here is the link to a charity event that Michael Johns and Carly Smithson will be performing at next week. Unfortunately, it’s a private events and tickets are rather expensive, but hopefully someone will post a video afterwards. By the way, they have both told their fans that they are working on two duet songs together that will be released sometime this fall. Can’t wait for them!!!

    Pretty cool that Chris will be on CSI. Ace’s appearance on Bones was disturbing but it was good to see Brandon in the same episode.

American Idol star Clay Aiken is a natural on Broadway. This is the excitement that happens on those rare occasions on Broadway. At the moment, forget Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in Equus, and Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise and their entourage of Scientology protesters at All My Sons, or even forget Entourageà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s Jeremy Piven in Speed-The-Plow, or Ace Young in Grease. The big story on Broadway today is Clay! He is back on Broadway, and the fun has begun.
