After the jump, check out the premiere of the Fantasia “I’m Doin’ Me” music video.

Fantasia hit the streets of NYC to shoot her new video for “I’m Doin’ Me” from her current album, Back To Me.

Directed by Benny Boom, the video captures Fantasia finally declaring her freedom from an ex-boyfriend. Or does she?

I’m liking this song and the bright, upbeat video. How about you?

    Might be good, might be bad. I’ll never know, as I refuse to support this piece of trash by even listening to a free video.

    And you say it has a good message for young girls? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Maybe she’d have an ounce of credibility if she took care of her own young girl, instead of selling her life on television, play-acting at suicide for the cameras, contributing to the break-up of a marriage.

    I’ve always figured it takes two people to break up a marriage (maybe even 3.) Don’t know why she gets all the flack for the affair when she was single and the married man is essentially the one who “strayed.”
    Seems Fantasia has an overwhelming knack for finding “love” in all the wrong places. Considering the things that happened to her, in her youth, not that difficult for me to understand.
    I think the message is good, even with all her troubles. It’s about someone who is making a come back, emotionally. Putting more faith in herself. Not relying on a man.

    I’m not so sure about that. LeAnn was raked across the coals, but I suspect the perception of her being somewhat snobby may have something to do with it. Eddie’s treatment didn’t seem so harsh, at least not to me. But I may have missed something.

    I don’t like when the woman gets labeled ‘skank’ and ‘trash’ but the man gets off free, regardless of fame. It’s a double standard and it happens everywhere all the time.
