Dancing With The Stars 15 – Week 5 – Recap and Videos

Due to the American presidential debate tonight at 9 pm, Dancing With The Stars has been shortened to an hour. The performances will continue Tuesday night, with NO eliminations until next week.

It’s guilty pleasure week!

Kelly and Val – Samba – They’ll dance to Cher Lloyd’s “Want U Back”. Val is hanging out at the General Hospital set to lend his moral support. Kelly is running out of steam! Oh noes. Well. That was sassy! Kelly seems to have recovered. Len says, “A little long winded getting started.” He liked some elements, but thought it was too raunchy. It’s a Samba? Bruno had trouble with the “samba bounce” but liked it over all. Carrie Ann felt she was uncertain, and she was off her footing. Carrie Ann 8, Len – 8, Bruno – 8.5 – 24.51-800-868-3411

Gilles and Peta – Rumba – The pair’s guilty pleasure song is “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. Oh. That was super sexy and even told a story, as the lovers parted at the end. VERY VERY NICE. The audience explodes. Bruno, “That was masterclass theater. You manage to maintain the musicality without music. Gripping. One of the best.” Carrie Ann says, “Let the baby making begin!” Carrie Ann is SO EXCITED THAT SHE FALLS OFF THE JUDGES’ PLATFORM. “I didn’t think you’d get into position,” quipped Tom. Len says, “You turned October into HOT TOBER. It had everything.” – Carrie Ann – 10, Len 9.5, Bruno 10 – 29.51-800-868-3410

Kirstie and Max – Quickstep – “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon and Garfunkle. I don’t know how this is supposed to be a “guilty pleasure”. Their age difference will become a comic plot. Kirstie admits that all the couples left are great dancers, but without naming names–she does not think they are all great entertainers. The duo are nervous because the other crappy dancer, Bristol Palin was eliminated last week. Kirstie is crying because she want to do better. That was NOT entertaining. I expected more laughs. Carrie Ann “I thought that was your best dance so far. Excellent work.” Len says, “You were dancing to the maximum!” Bruno says, “You delivered it. Your posture was better and you looked great.” – Carrie Ann – 8.5, Len – 8.5, Bruno – 8.6 – 26.5. Kirstie cries after she receives her score – 1-800-868-3412

Emmitt and Cheryl – Samba – They dance to “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow. Emmitt knows how to shake his ass. Latin is his forte. Len says, “An unstoppable performance. Well done.” Bruno says, “You deliver maximum pleasure. It’s like the best party in the country.” Carrie Ann says, “Nobody does Samba like you. You have the Samba swagger! Carrie Ann – 9.5, Len – 9.5, Bruno – 10 – 291-800-868-3413

Tomorrow, Emmitt, Kirstie, Gilles, Kelly and their partners will perform their team freestyle routine. Tonight, the remaining 4 couples will dance their team freestyle, saving their individual dances for tomorrow.

Sabrina and Louis1-800-868-3403, Melissa and Tony1-800-868-3406, Shawn and Derek1-800-868-3402,  Apolo and Karina1-800-868-3407 – Melissa has a herniated disk in her upper neck. Nevertheless, she is cleared to dance. Team Call Me Maybe–will dance to “Call Me Maybe” of course. The team decides to go the “technical route.” During Friday’s rehearsal, she had a whiplash in her neck and was rushed to the hospital in a neck brace.  The boys are football players, the girls are cheerleaders. Wow there are lots of well executed tricks in this routine.  Derek does another superb choreography job.  Team Gangnam Style is going to have a tough time measuring up tomorrow.  Lots of tricks in this one. Len says, “This is quality. Tight, individual performances fantastic.” Len says, “It was impossible to distinguish the celebrities and the professionals.” Carrie Ann – 9.5, Len, 10 Bruno 10 – 29.5

Carrie Ann Wipes Out!
