I’m back after being moderated last night for finger wagging…*hangs head*. So happy for our guy. Finally this night is here!!!!!!

The stars don’t actually own the clothes or the jewelry.

The stylists line up the clothes and jewelry and helps the star pick the right on. (or the wrong one!) Some stars have a designer they love and always wear something created just for them.

The jewelry goes back to the store and the dress or tux goes back to the designer.

I’ve seen auctions held to auction off the clothes for charity.

Most of the time on the red carpet itself only the “famous” person walks. His or her date/guest usually is escorted through another entrance.

And, if you have ever been to a carpet it is very disorganized. There are hundreds of media not just the guys on the live stream….and publicists are herding their peeps to specific media for photo ops and interviews.

Finally a few of you saying what I’ve been thinking…..this red carpet deal stinks. I swear that guy interview Daughtry didn’t even know there actually is a Chris Daughtry. Jumping from one spot to another, trying to listen on ear phones while interviewing people. I can’t remember when I have seen anything this chaotic and unprofessional. Really bad. Would have much preferred just watching people walking the red carpet, then at least we could have enjoyed seeing how they were dressed, etc.

It is also rude to the people being interviewed the way they stop suddenly and go across to a different interview, almost in the middle of a sentence.

I keep hearing mad screams from the spectators, and then they interview someone extremely dull. Who was inspiring the screams? We need multiple cameras and screens. Or cinematic wide screen.

Hmmmm….not a single comment about Adam’s performance.

Adam Lambert’s performance: A certain ‘dance move’ -like was done about 25 years ago by David Bowie and Iggy Pop- didn’t seem right to me-but my daughter and her info on Madonna, Britney and others didn’t think the same as me. And, I felt scared that Adam fell, yet he responded as though he didn’t and no one is that good an actor.
I love the kid, so all that keeps running through my head is omg! And I love Adam Lambert unconditionally.

I know most people will talk about how “shocking” and edgy Adam’s show was but the only thing truly shocking for me was how bad he sounded.

I want to just chalk it up to some hoarseness from months of constant singing, but it wasnt even that. It seemed messy.

i am so upset I can’t even bear to rewatch Adam’s video. It isn’t primarily the sexual parts that bother me — sex is everywhere around us and many of the women performers sexed up their performances BIG TIME. It was also that his voice and pitch were totally off and he looked clumsy sometimes. This was so uncharacteristic that it was shocking. Further, he has talked about his need to entertain people, make us feel good, sexy and like dancing so I wondered what he thought he was depicting on that stage. Did he even smile to indicate he was being “campy?” He was behaving like Marquis de Sade or some other tormented being. It reminded me of how some of my gay male friends describe some of the gay bath houses. Now, when I listen to some of the songs on his album that allude to casual and opportunistic sex, I will think of his creeping and slinking around that stage in a menacing way. What a difficult image he has created for first time listeners (and some of us who love him) to overcome. Is this just my problem? I hope I’m wrong.

Keith Urban – Out of all the country stars, I find him the most boring and I don’t know why they made a big deal about him. He is kinda cute… but not ‘Papi chulo’ or a hunk and a half.

Kelly – I always enjoy watching her, but she was a 7 on her performance last night. I expected intensity last night as she has proven on this song and it was just mediocre last night.

Lady Gaga: I like all of her songs, her voice but her performance last night was just plain wierd. Breaking bottles, breaking glass and acting like a mental case.

Entertainer of the Year: Taylor deserved it hands down. She had a tremendous year. No disrespect to the King of Pop but why on earth was he even included? Was it out of sympathy? He hasn’t performed in years.

Although I did not understand why Taylor’s name was included as a nom for Pop/Rock? ????

Taylor is a crossover country/pop artist and that’s why her name was included in Pop/Rock. She sells as a pop artist.

Pop means popular, it includes rock, rap, country, you name it.
