Thanks MJ!!! He did a great job and the audience seemed to love it. He’s also gotten a great ITunes boost in Australia. And, so cool they had guy/guy dancers along with girl/guy dancers!! I am dying for crazy outfit, OTT Adam at Mardi Gras. He looked so happy and excited in that short video clip.

Somehow I think it’s going to be blast following him around on this internationl promo tour. I bet he can will feel he can just be himself and won’t seem so “controversial” as he does here in the States.

MJ, it’s FYE the album that is #1 on POP itunes (#4 overall). The single WWFM hit a peak of #36 I think, it’s now falling again. Before the performance it wasn’t on the chart.

So excited that Adam is here in Australia. I watched the show live and I think he was really well received by the audience. He will gain some fans for sure. I noticed the guy/guy dance couple too lorismile. I think that was a very clever inclusion and one I think Adam would have appreciated.

I think this was one of the best vocals of this song I’ve heard him sing.

He also has a CD signing on Saturday (Australian time) @ Hum. Same Same is sponsering it so they should have some photos / articles up on their site for it.

The FYE CD on itunes doesn’t have Voodoo. I think the physical CD does. We have to wait till they open the CD shops in Australia tomorrow.

Hmm, Adam still trending on Twitter. Looks like the performance got him some nice attention.

Very nice! I think the jet lag hasn’t hit him yet, or being a little tired helps him settle into a song instead of being so adrenaline hyped. Just some baseless theories… Regardless, he looks and sounds beautiful as always. Mardi Gras is very exciting! Kudos to him~

Adam is climbing on the US and Itunes CD charts – he’s in the low 40′s on Itunes and mid 50′s on Amazon (after being out of the top 100 for a brief time). Must be the Leno bounce.

I hope he gets bounces like this after every appearance on this tour.

Hurray for trending on Twitter! Hurray for Australia! I know there was a reason I have always wanted to visit there! Re: Tommy, I miss the whole band being together. All of them together really have a great energy. I think Tommy is really a great addition to the band and doesn’t take anything away from Adam at all.

Who would have thought when we saw his audition, that a year later he would be charting in the U.S, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. I know Simon must be happy that his statement might be coming true. Let me rephrase that, both Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller must be happy with Adam selling overseas.

That was awesome! I was almost afraid to watch it because I was worried about the jet lag factor, but it was perfect. I don’t think the dancers added much to the TV performance (distracting) but I’m sure it was fun live.

The funnest thing about Adam is not only what and how he is going to sing…but, what the fuck will he be wearing and how will he do his hair and his make-up. I don’t think many female singers get the same attention paid to their style as does Adam get attention paid to his. Just makes things a lot more fun and interesting. As a big SYTYCD fan, just wanted to add that the American version also has the guys dance with the guys and the girls dance with the girls. (Not this past fall, but most seasons with the final 4.) IMO the dancers looked pretty ridiculous in this number. Too much frantic flailing for me. Adam sounded fantastic. If I was a casual spectator, I might even think he’s lip sinching. He just sounds that good.

This was yet another great performance for Adam. I also loved his little chat with the hostess at the end, especially his sexy dance move and his promise to be really sparkly for Mardi Gras. Can’t wait.

I work with colleagues from Australia and just got back from a trip to there. Just missed Adam by a few days! I find Aussies to be terrifically fun-loving, joyful, gracious, and accepting people (generalities, I know, but that’s my experience of them). They know how to have a good time in Oz, and I think they are going to LOVE Adam.

And I gotta say… Good grief! How am I supposed to get any work done this week with all of this Adam fabulosity going on day after day? It’s been non-stop fabulosity since the Fantasy Springs concert last weekend! And it shows no signs of abating.

Adam’s management is doing a stellar job IMO. This is why, although I have my favorites, I am not worried about what his next single will be. They have cleverly timed the iHeart Radio and VH1 Unplugged sessions releases while he is gone to keep something out there. Does anyone know if the VH1 sessions are televised or only available online?

I believe they are televised. I can’t wait to hear the unplugged. I did not like FYE on iheartradio. His vocals remind me of the AMA vocals.

I also don’t think Tommy tries to steal Adam’s thunder – not at all!!! I read somewhere where Tommy said he’s not going anywhere (regarding the recent change in the band) and in an interview after Gridlock he said he thinks Adam is amazing. It was very sweet. Also after Gridlock, I remember seeing a video of them onstage and Tommy is doing the pointing gestures thing at Adam in a “giving props” manner (hope you can understand what I mean). I think Tommy is cute and adds a lot to the band – I like his little jumping around thing when he plays.

Didn’t adam say in an interview that the first week he was in england he was just doing radio and tv interviewing – no performing. But when he returned for the second week he might be performing. Sounds like he definitely has something lined up for that week (and maybe that is the news mtvuk is tweeting about). What is going on in london during his second trip? Any award shows? Charity concerts? When does BGT and Xfactor start? What shows have musical guests?

Actually there has been a male partner duo on SYTYCD America. GLAAD took Nigel’s harsh criticism to task and the duo was invited back to dance again. I am not an avid SYTYCD fan, so I do not know what the ultimate outcome was.

Most important thing is number 1: His CD will BLOW YOU AWAY!! Talk about good press! He also talked about being visible as a gay entertainer and hoping he can help some young gay / different person coming out because he’s comfortable as a gay male. Hopefully I summarized that okay. lol

Do you know I watched this live on my large screen TV & neither my daughter or myself noticed this[ only the couples on the side!!] This is not a common occurrence on Aussie SYTYCD – mainly just guys dancing together not with each other!!
Maybe they worked this out with Adam [ could have been his idea!!]
Its funny- living here in Sydney , I thought the Mardi Gras finished last weekend as that is when the procession happened & party- this Saturday must just be an “extra ‘party!!

As I said in the other thread I thought Adam did a great job & good luck to him. My only sadness in this is that Kris ‘s management might pull their finger out & at least get his single available here . I am sure he would be well received here as has Kelly & Daughtry in the past!!

Sorry to go off topic a bit, but my shitty unmonitored radio station that has only been playing WWFM in the middle of the night the last couple of weeks has played it SIX times already today!! I am ridiculously psyched (and I pride myself on my relative nontardness in general). This is the first time I’ve heard a fave of mine get radio play here in East Jesus. Yay!

That I do agree with – FYE is one of the only songs for me where I prefer his recorded version to his live – but that’s the way I feel about most dance club songs

This song strikes me as very hard to sing and Adam does a MUCH better job on this version than at the AMAs. I like the verion and was thinking it was too bad he hadn’t sounded like this in Nov. and just let the dancers do their thing around him.

Ok… first of all, he looks so sexy! Those pants, it got me taking deep breaths too. Second, I´m starting to think that I have a thing for boots. Now I want Monte´s boots! They just tried out together with a partner dance. They did not make it to the final 12. I believe one of the 2 made it to Vegas.

The American version of SYTYCD has never choreographed a piece for a same sex “couple’s” dance. Guys have danced together on the show, but they have never been presented as lovers/partners. (They basically dance side by side.)

The dance on SYTYCD from last night actually had one guy picking another guy up and twirling him in the air. It was wonderful!

Thank you Lorismile for the videos from Australia, they were very enjoyable. I must say the radio crew appear to be a great “fun” bunch. Fourth time listening and I do love Voodoo!!! I totally understand and appreciate the atomospheric nature, just wish they could have sprung the vocal up from under one or two layers. Just one or two! That said, it is hypnotic and incredibly sexy. Wowza.
