X Factor, alum Chris Rene talks to Hollywire about his upcoming album and more. After, he performed an acoustic version of his new single, “Trouble.” In the interview, he namechecks one of the songwriters, American Idol Season 9 alum, Alex Lambert.
About his whirlwind year, Chris says it hasn’t been overwhelming. In fact, “It’s been exciting,” he confesses, “It’s like a drug.” I hope he and his sponsor are talking about substituting one thrill with another in place of dealing with underlying emotions.
Chris’s debut album is set to come out in October. He describes the CD “diverse” and mentions a song called “Tidal Wave.” Beyond mentioning that it has “verses” and “choruses” and was “nice” he didn’t have much to say about it. Ya’ll will have to wait for the album to find out.
