Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that X Factor 3rd place finisher, Chris Rene will sign a label deal with L.A. Reid’s Epic Records any day now.
Melanie Amaro announced her 5 million dollar deal with Epic today.
THR sources also expect teen rapper, Astro and runner-up Josh Krajcik to land deals at Sony Music.
“The star power is there for a number of them,” sources tell THR, “they’re relevant, contemporary recording artists with great chart and radio potential.”
Hits Daily Double insiders, meanwhile, report that Astro will be signed to Epic while Josh is expected to find a home at a Sony Music label.
