X Factor UK – Top 7 – Results

Katie Waissel is eliminated from X Factor
Wagner is eliminated.

Glee Cast, Alexandra Burke and The Black Eyed Peas next week!

Two X Factor “villains” are eliminated in one fell swoop. Buh bye Katie Waissel and Wagner!

Katie was kept in the competition by Simon who saw her trainwreck personality as good TV. But, as the show came down to the wire, I think they were pretty much done with her.

Wagner’s dramatic singout reminded me how Louis turned the dude into a singing monkey for our entertainment. I’d love to know how Wagner really felt about playing the fool. One one hand, it kept him on TV for weeks past his sell date, but on the other, he wound up looking like a jack ass.

If he had made it through another week, TPTB would have resorted to Plan B. There were reports in the paper that Wagner was smoking pot in the X Factor house–definitely fishing around for an excuse to disqualify him.

Next week is the semifinal, with Matt Cardle, Mary Byrne, Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction and Cher Lloyd competing to be in the final.

The question is: Will there be another double elimination next week? or will the final be a contest between 4 acts?

But the really important thing? GLEE NEXT WEEK! The Glee cast will perform on the results show next week. YAY.

It’s a double elimination this week on X Factor UK! Who goes home this week? Watch the live stream after the jump, beginning at 3 pm ET to find out.

This week’s show features performances by The Wanted, Justin Bieber (OMG!!111!), and Nicole Scherzinger.

Also, I’ll be live-blogging the results RIGHT HERE.

The UK’s newest boyband, The Wanted take the stage first. What’s the deal with the UK and their love of boybands? Americans got over that fad pretty quick.

Why are The Wanted ripping off Kings of Leon? And really really badly, at that.

The vote is close, says Dermot, so KEEP VOTING Y’ALL.

IT’S THE BIEBS OMG OMG OMG. Justin Bieber takes the stage to sing his latest whatever.

Nicole Scherzinger debuts her new single. Wow. This sucks.

VOTING IS CLOSED.

RESULTS!

Act with lowest votes leaves the competition immediately.  KAITIE WAISSEL has the lowest votes.  Mary Byrne and Wagner will sing for their lives. Bye Wagner!

Just a formality but…

Louis introduces Wagner with that look on his face that says, “There goes my last act.”   Dead Man Walking Wagner sings “Unforgettable”.   I will be trying to forget this as soon as possible.

Louis introduces Mary Byrne with a smile.  She sings “This is My Life” or some such old-fashioned deal that even Mary should be too young to remember.  Doesn’t matter.  Wagner would be gone, regardless.

Louis first?  That’s mean.  They should allow him to go last so he doesn’t have to choose between his acts.

Louis sends home Wagner
Dannii sends home Wagner
Cheryl tells Wagner that he’s a very gracious man, but then sends home

Simon disses vote for the worst. LULZ. Simon says he’s aware that a certain element was trying to derail the results, and he’s happy the show is back on track.

Safe (in no particular order)

  • Rebecca Ferguson
  • Matt Cardle
  • Cher Lloyd
  • One Direction
