Potential winner’s singles:

Jahmene Douglas – Let It Be (The Beatles)

Christopher Maloney – The Reason (Hoobastank)

James Arthur – Impossible (Shontelle)

TOP 2 finalists will perform their songs on Sunday night.

Uh Uh. I’m already dreading judges’ comments tonight and tomorrow. I’m not really a fan of the three finalists, but I think Jahmene at least has a chance to have good winner’s single.

We are now live from Manchester. Watching back the footage from auditions, I can’t believe these three dudes made it to the Final.

My God, how much money did they spend on Dermot’s intro video? Entrance of the 4 judges is next and it’s LOUD. Nicole Scherzinger looks fantastic in red.

Guest performers this weekend: Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Only Boys Aloud

Group number:
Rylan opens group number with Gangnam Style. Union J sing “Payphone”. Lucy Spraggan leads some others with “Titanium”. Kye and Ella sing Spectrum (Say My Name). James, Jahmene and Chris end the number with “Read All About It”.

Lines are now open. Can we vote for Rylan?

One Direction’s Talk Talk commercial opens the commercial break.

1. Jahmene Douglas – “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield

We get to see some footage from Jahmene’s homecoming. He stops at ASDA, where he used to work. Next, church.
It’s a big production number, with dancers and Big Ben on stage. His singing seems great, I just don’t think this is the best song choice for the final.
Louis: You are in the final, you’ve got the talent. You’ve got so much soul. I hope people vote for you.
Tulisa: I remember your first audition .. and your bootcamp audition, and now you are here on stage, confident, I wish you the best of luck.
Gary: Well done, Jahmene.
Nicole: That’s the way to open up the finals, blazing.

Caroline Flack is with Jahmene’s family and friends.

2. Christopher Maloney – “What A Feeling” by Irene Cara

Footage from Chris’ homecoming. Standard. Wow, so many old ladies.

Yes, Chris is singing “What a Feeling”. He also has dancers on stage. The performance is extra mega karaoke, as always.
Nicole: Wow Christopher. You know what, it’s not easy what you did up there, enjoy.
Louis: You are in the final, everyone in Liverpool is cheering you on… You are not going back to Liverpool …
Tulisa: This must be an amazing moment for you…
Gary: I got it wrong, I didn’t have you in my final three, you are here because people voted for you…

The judges are spewing so much nonsense tonight.

Caroline is now in Christopher’s camp.

3. James Arthur – “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone

James’ homecoming starts in a pub and continues in his old bedsit. James breaks down in tears.

James enters the studio with some hot male dancers. The entrance takes a while. The performance sounds like a standard James performance with dubstep arrangement. He has a band and dancers on stage.
Louis: That was incredible. The idea is to find someone unique with a great talent, I want you in the final tomorrow night.
Tulisa: You are everything this competition is about in 2012. I want American kids say:”Wow, have you heard that guy James Arthur”.
Gary: I thoroughly enjoy every single performance you do. That was for sure your best performance to date by far.
Nicole: You are a fighter, super soldier …

Caroline speaks to James Arthur’s camp.

Time for a recap of the season … with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson singing “Breakaway”.

Time for DUETS. Dermot sits in Nicole’s seat.

1. Jahmene Douglas & Nicole Scherzinger – “Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston

WOW. Nicole starts badly… Oh, her microphone isn’t working. She and Jahmene now have to share his mike. They also have a choir. Great moment.
Dermot: “Greatest show on the TV and they can only afford one mike.” LOL.

2. Christopher Maloney & Gary Barlow – “Rule The World” by Take That

Gary is again playing the piano. This is vocally powerful, but I think the one before had more charm? The song is a huge crowd pleaser.

3. James Arthur & Nicole Scherzinger – “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan

James and Nicole sit on stools. This number doesn’t go without some dubstep and choir either.

Time for a recap.

Rita Ora sings “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party)”. This is Rita’s second X Factor performance this season. She was also a guest judge this year.

5 minute warning. Kylie Minogue performs after a break.

The vote is now frozen.

Kylie Minogue performs “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”. Kylie recorded a whole album of orchestral version of her hits.

Results after the break.

TOP 2:
Jahmene Douglas
James Arthur

Contestant leaving the competition in 3rd place is: Christopher Maloney

HALLELUJAH!

Winning mentor of X Factor 2012: Nicole Scherzinger

The phone lines are open again.
