It’s the comeback kids! Familiar faces Amy Mottram and Jade Richards return for auditions on The X Factor
As history has proved, returning contestants usually do rather well on The X Factor.
Indeed, Alexandra Burke was devastated after missing out on Louis Walsh’s final four in 2005, but three-years she not only returned but went on to win the show in a final that saw her duet with Beyonce Knowles.
That same year a certain Liam Payne made it all the way to judges houses, but Simon Cowell deemed him ‘not ready’ for the competition and requested he come back ‘in two years.’
Liam did just that and the rest, as they say, is history.

Amy Mottram – last year made it to the judges’ houses, was Tulisa’s wildcard pick, but lost the vote to Christopher Maloney. She sings Emeli Sande’s »Clown«. YES
Dolly Rockers – in 2006 they made it to Louis’ judges’ house. YES
Melanie McCabe – 19, from Ireland. This is her 4th try. In 2011 she made it to Kelly’s judges’ house. Also auditioned last year. She sings Rihanna’s »Diamonds«. Louis gets emotional. It’s a YES. If she isn’t making it to the lives this year …

‘You’ve got your mojo back!’ Jade Richards makes it third time lucky as she stuns the judges with a moving audition on The X Factor
Jade Richards made it third time lucky on Saturday night when she stunned the X Factor judging panel with a moving rendition of Bruno Mars hit When I Was Your Man.
Having made it all the way to Kelly Rowland’s Miami home during the judges house’s stage of the competition, she was left bitterly disappointed when she wasn’t selected for the live shows.
The Fife teenager admitted she’d been ‘working in supermarkets’ since her last appearance on the show in 2012.
‘I think you’ve got your mojo back – it was fantastic audition,’ raved Louis.
‘I’d personally love to mentor you,’ said a clearly impressed Nicole.
The 23-year-old was sent off with four yeses, but she wasn’t the only familiar face on the show.

An emotional Louis Walsh made it four yeses for Melanie Mccabe on Saturday night when the young hopeful returned for her fourth appearance on The X Factor.
The 19-year-old Dubliner made it all the way to former judge Kelly’s Rowland’s Miami home in 2011, but failed to make the final cut when she named her final three.
Chloe had faced similar disappointment three years previously, when she applied at the tender age of 14
