How to watch X Factor UK from outside the UK?
You can watch X Factor live, online. ITV streams the show through the ITV Player. However, ITV blocks viewers from outside of the UK. To get around that, you need to use VPN connection. If Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is your preferred browser, install Hola extension and set them to UK server. Then open the ITV Player, make a free account and pick the right channel. The player will ask you for a ZIP code. Find an active UK ZIP code HERE. Make sure you have the cookies enabled. You can also try to find a working ITV stream on MyiPlayer.com, TVPC.com or FilmON.com.
The X Factor airs tonight at 8:00pm BST (9:00pm CEST, 3:00pm EDT, 12:00pm PDT) on ITV 1 (90min).
We are back for season 14 of X Factor UK and for the first time in many years all 4 judges are returning for the season! We were told to expect some changes of the format this year.
The auditions are taking place in rooms again. Dermot is still hosting like he is on auto-pilot. The judges try to explain what the X Factor is. Louis tells us the X Factor is the best talent show in the entire world. They try to sell each other’s career accomplishments and skills.
We are starting the auditions in Liverpool.
RAK-SU – boyband (or manband) from Watford, consisting of 4 members: Ashley, Miles, Jamal and Mustafa. Ashley wants to see Nicole Scherzinger badly. Their first song is Justin Timberlake’s “Señorita”, but Simon stopes them as says it’s not working for him. Then they sing their original song “I’m Feeling You”. Nicole likes them, Simon says they wouldn’t get through based on their first song. 4 YESes.

Sam Black – He is 27, from Liverpool and a plasterer by profession. Mother of his child made him audition for the show. He sings Dion’s “Runaround Sue”. The girls that watch the audition on the screen in the waiting room love him. Simon is worried about his direction. Sharon thinks he has potential. The judges think he is likable. 4 YESes. Nicole wants to squeeze his cheeks and says her boyfried is younger than Sam.

Jo-Ann Mason – 36 year old personal trainer from Liverpool. She has been singing since she was a toddler. She has a son. She sings Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares”. She tries to sound like Sinead. Oh my, a karaoke singer. 4 NOs.
Kayleigh Taylor – She is also 27 and from Liverpool. She used to work in a chip shop before she started singing 5 years ago. She is also engaged and a mother of three girls. She has a tattoo of Simon’s name on her back. She sings Evanescence’s “My Immortal”. Another karaoke singer, but she is better than Jo-Ann. She is still ruining that song for me. 4 YESes.

Jack Smith – 23 year old primary school teacher from Oxfordshire. He sings Outkast’s “Hey Ya”. The judges aren’t feeling him, 4 NOs.

Anthony Russell – 27 year old train track worker from Liverpool. He is only 5 ft 4′ tall. He auditioned for the show before in 2007. He lost his job a few months ago and has a daughter. He is also sporting a black eye. He sings Julia Michaels’ “Issues”. Sharon loved it, even though he is “awkward as hell”. 4 YESes. The show is selling him as a humble working class guy.

Elisangela Mahagony – 34 year old personal trainer from Brazil. She looks a lot like Simon’s ex Sinitta. She sings Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and shocks everyone when she strips and dances for the judges. Nicole says NO.

Many others attempt to sing the same song. The judges soon get sing and tired of it. Is a ban on Ed Sheeran’s music coming? A few years ago there was a problem with Adele’s music.

Jack & Joel – They are 22 years old and from London. They met while studying at Oxford University. One of them studied math and the other studied geography. They have plenty of personality. They sing a medley of Ed Sheeran’s hits. The judges love them. 4 YESes.

Holly Tandy – 15 year old pub singer from Barnsley. Her whole family came to support her. The judges are surprised that she is so young. She sings Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You”. The song is a bit too big for her. 4 YESes. Nicole almost says Holly is too young.

Grace Davies – 20 year old singer-songwriter from Blackburn. Her current job is packing CDs and vinyl as a warehouse assistant. She sing an original song “Roots”. Wow. The pimp spot of the first audition episode is usually reserved for front runners and favored contestants. Grace definitely is one of those contestants. The judges all loved the song. 4 YESes.
