Nicole and Sharon will be selecting their final 3 boys and overs tonight.

Over 25s traveled to Los Angeles an spent some time in Hollywood. Later they visited Sharon’s “home”. Sharon is actually trying to fool us that the mansion is hers. Robbie Williams is her guest judge and he is pretending to be Sharon’s gardener.

Relley C made it to Nicole’s judges’ houses in 2013. She is singing Kelly Clarkson’s version of “Up to the Mountain”. Good vocal, but I personally find it a bit boring. Robbie compliments her voice and says she’s got it.

James Wilson and Christopher Peyton are next.

Christopher Peyton is singing “Movin On Up” by Primal Scream. He sounds awesome. Sharon says he knows his craft, but worries he is too sleek.

James Wilson sings Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love”. His raspy voice is a great fit for this classic. Robbie gives him a thumbs up. Sharon likes his honesty. He points out his insecurity. Robbie says the business is a pressure cooker.

Samantha Atkinson sings “Tears” by Clean Bandit and Louisa Johnson. The song isn’t a a good fit for her, but she is trying her best. Sharon compliments her range. Robbie loves her voice and personality.

Saara Aalto and Janet Grogan are next.

Saara Aalto was brought back as a wildcard after Sharon rejected her. She sings a beautiful acoustic cover of ABBA’s “The Winner Takes It All”. She has great pipes and Robbie and Sharon compliment her range.

Janet Grogan sings Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World”. She does a good job with the song, but she isn’t really memorable. Sharon compliments her voice, Robbie thinks she has an Adele quality to her. But they both point out that just good voice isn’t enough – personality is just as important.

Honey G is next. Robbie tells he was in LA over the summer and heard two people talking about her. Robbie and Sharon point out she walks like a policeman. She performs Coolio’s “Gangster’s Paradise”. She raps and sings. Robbie says this kind of talent won’t win the show, but she is memorable. Honey G takes herself so seriously it’s not even funny.

In the evening we see Robbie and Sharon discuss the contestants.

James Wilson is the first to go see Sharon. She tells him she missed his eye contact. It’s a no for James.

Samantha, Saara and Christopher are next. Sharon says Christopher’s performance was “forced” and that she doesn’t know who Saara is. In the end, she sends Samantha and Christoper home. Saara Aalto is Sharon’s first finalist.

Honey G is next. Sharon is worried about her song choices. Anyway, Sharon is taking Honey G to the lives.

Relley C and Janet Grogan are the last two singers remaining. I think both are good singers, but they lack that something special. Anyway, Sharon is taking Relley C to the lives and Janet Grogan is going home once again.

Sharon’s Over 25s: Honey G, Saara Aalto, Relley C

We are moving to the south of France now.

The boys spent some time on the beach. Nicole arrives on a scooter and shows off her amazing beach body. The boys join her for a day of fun. The next day Nicole meets the boys at her villa. Calvin Harris is Nicole’s guest.

Ryan Lawrie is performing first. He is Simon’s wildcard. He was put in a boyband at bootcamp, but the boyband wasn’t even shown on the main show last week at the 6 Chair Challenge. Ryan performs Hall & Oates classic “You Make My Dreams Come True”. Calvin thinks he has a memorable voice. Nicole wonders if he is distinctive enough as a solo artist.

Freddy Parker and Niall Sexton are next.

Niall Sexton is singing Spice Girls’ “2Become1”. Unusual song choice. Both Calvin and Nicole loved him. Calvin isn’t sure about his stage presence.

Freddy Parker performs Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do”. It’s tough to do a good cover of this song. Like the boys before him, Freddy sounds fine, but he is not a standout. Nicole thinks he is an artist, but questions whether he is versatile enough.

Nate Simpson and James Hughes are next.

Nate Simpson is singing Ella Fitzgerald’s “Summertime”. I think this song is just too big for him. Nicole and Calvin question his personality and voice.

James Hughes sings Marvin Gaye’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. He forgets the lyrics. That’s just on top of a dated song choice.

Christian Burrows is the next boy performing. He is singing The Fray’s “How To Save a Life”. He mangles the song with his marmite voice. Nicole points out his vulnerability.

Matt Terry is the last to sing. He had to sing twice at the 6 Chair Challenge to keep his chair. He is singing Michael Jackson’s “She is Out of My Life”. Calvin Harris says he can relate to this song. Hehe. Matt delivers a solid rendition. He is easily the best singer in this category. Calvin says he “nailed it”.

Later in the night, Nicole says that one of the boys disappointed her and Calvin talks about his least favorite performance of the seven. He says it was too “Broadway, West End”.

The next morning Nicole delivers the news.

Christian Burrows is the first to go see Nicole. She says he did a good job the day before. She says she still thinks he is developing his sound and questions his versatility. Christian is going home.

Nate Simpson, Freddy Parker and James Hughes are grouped together. Nate Simpson and James Hughes are going home. Freddy Parker is through.

Matt Terry is the next to see Nicole. She compliments his looks and talent, but questions his uniqueness. He is sailing to the live shows.

Ryan Lawrie and Niall Sexton are the last ones to get the news. She says she wonders why Ryan initially didn’t stand out and questions whether Nial would be able to connect with the audience every week. Ryan Lawrie is through to the live shows and Niall Sexton is going home.

Nicole’s boys: Matt Terry, Freddy Parker, Ryan Lawrie
