This week, the judges will be picking their TOP 6 acts to take to the judges’ houses. Tonight, Simon will pick the TOP 6 girls and Nicole will pick the TOP 6 boys.

Simon and the girls are up first.

Soheila Clifford – Love Me Like You Do (Ellie Goulding)
Her voice isn’t the strongest and this song isn’t great to cover on a talent show. Louis liked her and wants Simon to give her a seat. Sharon agrees, Nicole says something about wetting pants. Simon gives her a seat.

Kayleigh Marie Morgan – Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Eva Cassidy)
Another acoustic performance. Simon says it was good, but not fantastic, says he would prefer something more exciting. He gives her a seat anyway.

Luena Martinez – Run (Snow Patrol)
This is the first time we see her. She hits some crazy notes. The crowd goes crazy. Simon gives her a seat.

Faye Horne – I Know Where I’ve Been (Queen Latifah)
Huge vocals, big reaction from the crowd. Simon says this is not necessarily the voice they are looking her. He gives her a seat for effort.

Samantha Lavery – Mama Knows Best (Jessie J)
Huge vocals. I don’t think Simon is enjoying this. Louis liked her stage presence, Sharon and Nicole didn’t like the song choice. Simon says she has no idea who she is as an artist (over styled, wrong song choice). Crowd demands from Simon to give her a seat and Simon gives in.

Caitlyn Vanbeck – Rise Up (Andra Day)
Before she starts singing, Simon says this song is one of his favorites. “No pressure.” is Caitlyn’s response. Good vocals. Louis says she is his favorite singer so far. Saharon loves her real-nes, Nicole wants to give her a chair, Simon says he wants to give her a sofa. She only gets a chair.

Jordina Miller – Amazing Grace
Jazzy vocals. I think she is totally overdoing this. Simon says, she is far from perfect, but he wants to give her a seat. Faye Horne is out. Louis says he wouldn’t give Jordina a seat.

Ellie Rose – Almost is Never Enough (Ariana Grande)
Simon says he likes her, but thinks she is capable of better. No chair for Ellie. Nicole disagrees.

Gifty Louise – Crazy (Gnarls Barkley)
Slowed down acoustic cover with big vocals. Louis loved the performance and wants Simon to give her a seat. Sharon agrees. Simon gives her a seat. Samantha Lavery is out.

Emily Middlemas – Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper)
Another acoustic cover. The audience loved it. Simon is smiling. Louis thinks she is a “find”, he and Nicole both think Simon should give her a seat. Simon decides to give her a seat. Jordina Miller is out.

Olivia Garcia – Changing (Sigma feat. Paloma Faith)
Good vocal performance. Simon covers his face with his hands before she even finishes. Louis says her performance was flawless, Sharon and Nicole also loved the performance. Simon says he has to give her a chair. Luena Martinez is out.

Simon’s girls:
Soheila Clifford
Kayleigh Marie Morgan
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Gifty Louise
Emily Middlemas
Olivia Garcia

Nicole and the boys are up next.

Mike Hough – I Have Nothing (Whitney Houston)
His voice shaking and I think this song is just too big for him. Bad song choice. Louis thinks he took a risk and did well. Simon says it wasn’t original. Nicole says the song requires a big voice or a flip. She asks for a 30-second acapella bit and he sings Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”. He gets a seat.

Will Rush – Original Song
He says he wrote this song at Bootcamp. It’s really bad. Nicole is not impressed. Simon says it’s not fun. Nicole decides not to give him a seat.

James Hughes – Proud Mary (Tina Turner)
Big voice, huge stage presence … He is definitely getting a seat. The judges had no idea he was also an entertainer. Nicole gives him a seat.

Niall Sexton – Run (Nicole Scherzinger)
Oh, he is trying to suck up to Nicole with the song choice. But it’s a good song choice for acoustic treatment. Louis and Nicole prefer his version to original. Simon thinks the song is about Lewis Hamilton. Nicole gives him a seat.

Conor McGinty – Every Breaking Wave (U2)
Simon says it was boring and didn’t like the song. Nicole gives him a seat.

Matt Terry – When I Was Your Man (Bruno Mars)
During the performance Simon points out this is not the right song for him. He starts over one step lower. Great vocals. Simon thinks the nerves got him and Nicole expected more from him. She gives him a seat anyway.

Luca Valenti – Take Me Home (Jess Glynne)
The backing track is too strong. Nicole gives him a seat, even though he i not one of her strongest vocalists.

Freddy Parker – How Deep is Your Love (Calvin Harris)
Acoustic version and not a great one. Nicole asks him to play the piano and perform Amy Winehouse’s “Love is a Losing Game”. Why? To prove he is a one trick pony? Nicole decides to give him a seat. Conor McGinty is out.

Nate Simpson – Run (Snow Patrol)
Big soulful vocals. Nicole is smiling, he is getting a seat 100%. Sharon calls the performance spectacular. Simon thinks this was the best performance in the category. He is getting a seat. Mike Hough is out.

Christian Burrows – Feeling Good (Nina Simone)
He auditioned with an original song about his late brother. This time he sings “Feeling Good” and includes a rap that might or might not be his own. He is a marmite singer – technically not great, but some people are into that. Simon thinks this was the most passionate performance in the category. Nicole decides to have a sing off between … [commercial break] … someone who let Nicole down previously … Matt Terry and Christian Burrows.
Matt Terry sings Little Mix’s “Secret Love Song”. This is not great, but Matt keeps his seat. Christian looks crushed, but then Nicole says he is getting a seat, too. Luca Valenti is out.

Nicole’s boys:
James Hughes
Niall Sexton
Matt Terry
Freddy Parker
Nate Simpson
Christian Burrows

The 6 Chair Challenge continues tomorrow with overs and the groups.
