Song list for tonight!

Rudimental and Ed Sheeran are performing tonight. Also, somebody is going to be eliminated TONIGHT. And another act will be leaving us tomorrow.

Cheryl is wearing red tonight. Rita white, Nick blue and Simon gray.

Ché Chesterman – Yesterday (The Beatles – Marvin Gaye cover)

He was deciding between this and L. Hill song. He has a girlfriend. This will disappoint the fangirls.
Che has a band and strings on stage. The arrangement is very slow and this feels kinda lounge-y. It’s really not exciting at all. The performance is competent as always.
Rita says the performance was stunning and perfect. Cheryl says this was one of the most powerful openings of the show ever. WHAT?! And sensational. Simon says this was the first time we got to meet Che as a person. Simon says Che is turning into an artist. Nick says he cried every time Che performed this in rehearsal.

Anton Stephans – One Sweet Day (Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men)

He survived the sing off last week. Anton gets a visit from his dog.
It’s another big song for Anton. He starts sitting in a chair and then gets up. The first part sounds really sad. He gets the choir and pyro.
Nick says Anton has a very solid and great voice and it seems a bit technical. But he isn’t sure Anton is the artist he wants to hear on the radio. He also says he feels this is an act. He is calling him FAKE! Anton gets pissed. Rita says this wasn’t the right song for him. Cheryl says she was missing the emotion during the performance. Simon disagrees with the other judges. He says Anton isn’t a Radio 1 artist.
Basically, Nick simply pointed out that Anton isn’t a viable recording artist. He told no lies, but I think this attack will just make people vote harder for Anton.

4th Impact – Ain’t No Other Man (Christina Aguilera)

The girls miss their family in the Philippines. The vocal coach wants them to connect to the song.
They start the performance backstage sitting by the make up table. They make the Fleur East entrance. The song is definitely in their wheelhouse.
Simon says it was a brilliant, professional and sassy performance. But he wants to get to know them as individuals to get to the next level. Nick says that was a proper entertainment. He says tonight’s performance was a bit nasty. Rita liked the performance and said she looks like the 5th, blonde member. Cheryl says the girls only received the song yesterday and points out the girls are in a foreign country and missing their family.

Lauren Murray – We Belong Together (Mariah Carey)

She visits the music school where she learned how to sing. Lauren accompanies Rita to a taping of Alan Carr’s show.
This song is one of Mariah’s biggest hits, but I don’t think this is a great song to sing on a singing TV show. Lauren is doing a great job with the song. It’s just … the song. It’s not right for this.
Cheryl says Lauren is a very reliable contestant and a fantastic singer. Simon says the first part of the song didn’t work and the dancing didn’t match the song. Also, it wasn’t the best vocal from Lauren. Nick says Lauren is incredible. Rita says Lauren is a superstar.

Mason Noise – Jealous (Nick Jonas)

He wasn’t eliminated or in the sing off last week. We see him at his old job in a bar- He goes to a red carpet event – ITV gala? Nick wants a popstar to come out
He gets a sexy dancer on stage. Oh, not just one. This dancing routine won’t get him any bonus points. It’s a family show. He struggles with the high notes. He is in trouble this week, IMO.
Rita says there was a moment that he didn’t take. Cheryl says the song was perfect for him, but he was very nervous. Simon says the performance was a little bit cold. Nick says Mason did exactly what he wanted to do.

Louisa Johnson – Let It Go (James Bay – Sofia Karlberg version)

She went through some songs before she settled on a song choice. She visits her father at work. He is a builder. Good VT. She sings on the balcony behind the stage and judges. And the choir is in the audience! Great vocal performance! The judges give her a standing ovation. Without a doubt, Louisa is the PLAN A, the CHOSEN ONE.
Cheryl says she did an amazing job for a 17 year old. Simon says she had a moment with the song. Nick says this was her best moment to date. Rita says she was shockingly comfortable up there.

Reggie ‘N’ Bollie – Dangerous Love / Shut Up And Dance (Fuse ODG / Walk The Moon)

They want to make Cheryl proud. They visit their families. Lot’s of cute children. One girl has a birthday and gets a present from Cheryl.
They start in the audience. We are getting another fun performance. Lot’s of dancers and pyro. And then then the girls in carnival attire join them on stage.
Simon says the vocal were a bit iffy in the beginning, but he thinks they will be in the finals of the competition. Nick says their performances are pure escapism. Rita agrees. Cheryl thanks the viewers for the support.

Olly and Caroline open the voting. They will be freezing the vote in 10 minutes. RECAP. 5 minute warning. Commercial break.

We are back. Simon says Louisa was tonight’s standout by a mile. Also the boys and Anton. The vote is now frozen.

Time for a musical guest.

RUDIMENTAL and Ed Sheeran are performing their latest single “Lay It All On Me”. What a confetti shower. They won’t be able to clean this up anytime soon.

Results after the break.

The judges join their acts on stage.

Safe:
Lauren Murray
Che Chesterman
Louisa Johnson
Reggie N Bollie

The act that received the fewest votes is Mason Noise. Predictable. 4th Impact and Anton Stephans are safe. For tonight. The voting has been reopen. Olly Murs and Nathan Sykes perform tomorrow.
