Another double elimination tonight. Let’s hope there are no unwanted surprises tonight. One Direction and Jess Glynne perform.

We start the show with another cold open. It’s becoming a standard. The intro lasts forever. They use Fleur East’s “Sax” as background music for the arrival of two hosts. The voting ends in 20 minutes.

The judges arrive. Cheryl looks fabulous. Rita forgot her pants backstage.

TOP 9 sing Irene Cara’s “What A Feeling”.

The 7 acts remaining after tonight will go on X Factor Live Tour.

Time for a long recap.

Next, Jess Glynne is performing her current single “Take Me Home”. It’s also the official “Children In Need” charity single. Jess Appeared earlier in the season during the judges’ houses stage and helped Cheryl narrow down the groups to three.

5 minute warning!

And now it’s time for one little band … One Direction … with 65 million records sold. They are singing their current single “Perfect”. They look barely breathing, tired from touring all year, making and promoting their 5th studio album.

Results after the break.

The results!

Safe:
Mason Noise
Lauren Murray
Che Chesterman
Reggie N Bolie
Louisa Johnson
4th Impact

Bottom 3:
Monica Michael
Anton Stephans
Max Stone

The act leaving us tonight first is Max Stone.

Sing off:
Monica Michael
Anton Stephans

Monica Michael – Broken Hearted Girl (Beyonce)

Anton Stephans – If You Don’t Know Me (Simply Red)

Nick sends home Monica Michael.
Rita sends home Anton Stephans.
Cheryl sends home Anton Stephans.
Simon sends home Monica Michael.

Olly thinks Monica was voted out, when it’s really a deadlock. Gah, this is so embarrassing.

DEADLOCK!

Monica Michael is the second act to leave us tonight. She was this year’s wildcard. I’ve never seen her as somebody who could win this show. Too unlikable. I’m also not surprised that Anton was kept in the competition. He is a decent TV character and they couldn’t let Simon lose his last act this soon. Maybe next week.

Olly Murs faces backlash on social media as fans accuse the X Factor of being a FIX following the presenter’s Monica Michael elimination gaffe
He’s a veteran when it comes to performing on stage as a chart-topping singer.

But on Sunday night Olly Murs showed that he still has a bit to learn when it comes to presenting live on TV, as he made a gaffe during the X Factor’s latest elimination round.

Mistakenly declaring that Monica Michael was going home before her fate at the hands of the public vote was revealed, the 31-year-old was forced to stand sheepishly on stage as his prediction came true.
