Matt Cardle launches scathing attack on X Factor winner James Arthur
There is obviously no camaraderie between X Factor winners past and present.
Matt Cardle has launched a scathing attack on this year’s X Factor champion James Arthur, maintaining he is more successful then the former pub singer.
Matt, who won the show in 2010, was presumably responding to a thinly veiled attack from the 24-year-old on his own abilities.
James previously said: ‘The blokes that have won before have had a niche, they haven’t sold records because they haven’t made great albums. That’s the bottom line.’
He added that his ‘creative control’ would make the difference – something which plain old singer Matt is fuming about.
In a fuming interview Matt told The Daily Mirror: ‘I said, ‘Look, James, you’re very talented but you haven’t sold two million records yet, which I have.’

X Factor winner James Arthur has hit back at Matt Cardle by saying his “desperation for press is embarrassing”.
The 24-year-old from Teesside took to Twitter to respond to remarks made by Cardle earlier this week, in which he told the ‘Impossible’ singer not to “start mouthing off before you’ve even really left the show”.

He may have ended up the runner-up in this year’s X Factor, but Jahmene Douglas is the latest contestant to sign a record deal.
While James Arthur has been contractually obliged to sign with Syco, Jahmene has decided to join Union J and Ella Henderson at Sony.
Announcing the news of the Lorraine show on Wednesday morning, the excited 22-year-old admitted he couldn’t believe what was happening to him.

‘X Factor’ Union J sign Sony record deal
X Factor stars Union J have signed a record deal with Sony.
The boyband, who finished fourth in this year’s series, confirmed the news during a gig at Cardiff club Pulse on Saturday (December 15).
They also told the crowd that they intend to release an album next year.
Speaking about their signing on Daybreak this morning (December 17), Union J member Jaymi Hensley said: “It’s amazing. It’s been a crazy week.
“Obviously when we came out of the show the dream was to get a record deal and we’re going to Sony today to sort out all the contracts and stuff. Before Christmas we will have our deal finalised.”

The lights may have only just gone down on Jahmene Douglas’ X Factor experience, but the singing sensation has already signed up to his first commercial deal to start his music career – and with none other than his former employer, Asda.
Just 12-hours after the X Factor results were announced to the world Jahmene was straight into a studio to record the iconic festive song ‘Silent Night’.
The 80-second ad is a way for Jahmene to thank Asda colleagues and customers who supported and voted for the 22-year-old throughout the show.
