X Factor fans last night threatened to boycott the show after Sunday’s fix claims fiasco sparked a furious backlash from viewers and celebs.
ITV and Ofcom were hit by more than 2,500 complaints and tens of thousands took to Twitter to slam the decision to send Carolynne Poole home amid allegations that dithering Louis Walsh was told to change his vote to deadlock – which saved novelty act Rylan Clark.
Boss Richard Holloway was yesterday unmasked as the executive seen on camera crawling along the studio floor to have a word in the Irish judge’s ear during the sing-off between the rivals.
The 62-year-old is one of Simon Cowell’s closest pals and also works as his axeman.

The X Factor producer accused of steering Louis Walsh to save Rylan Clark over Carolynne Poole has denied accusations that he ‘fixed’ the show.
Richard Holloway insisted he did not direct judge Louis to change his mind, but was merely ‘telling him the order the judges would vote in and that he would be last.’
In it’s first weekend of live shows, The X Factor infuriated millions who believe the Irish judge was told to send the decision to deadlock and take the final vote to the public.

Dermot O’Leary defends ‘X Factor’ results show actions
Dermot O’Leary has defended his actions at the end of last night’s (October 7) The X Factor, when he refused to accept Louis Walsh’s first answer on the ITV1 results show.
Walsh was the final judge to select who he wanted to send home out of the bottom two – Carolynne Poole and Rylan Clark. After much deliberation, Walsh stated clearly that he wanted to save Poole.
However, O’Leary insisted that Walsh had to state who he wanted to “send home” and not just who he wanted to stay in the competition.
O’Leary’s probing seemingly caused Walsh to change his mind and the Irish judge stated that he wanted to send the show “to deadlock” and the public vote. Walsh never actually stated who he wanted to “send home”, but O’Leary was willing to accept his answer of taking it to deadlock.
Commenting on his changed stance on the show’s rules during the finale, O’Leary said on Twitter: “Weird show. For those asking I have ask who the judges are sending home, not save. Straight question. Been like that’s for 9 years (sic)!”

Dermot O’Leary’s Fishy Fishy restaurant in Brighton was broken into by raiders early Sunday morning.
They stole the safe, which contained Saturday night’s takings and is believed to have contained around £1,500 in cash.
The break in happened just before 1am on Sunday morning, and it’s believed that a group of people were involved.
