Niall Horan is crossing over into the world of country music.
Niall confirmed the existence of a long-rumoured collaboration with US country singer Maren Morris yesterday (August 9), a track expected to feature on his debut album out later in the year.
Speaking at Capitol Records’ Capitol Congress event in Hollywood (Capitol is Niall’s US label), where the song was unveiled, Variety reports that Niall explained how reached out to Maren via email and asked if she wanted to add her vocals to a track he had written titled Seeing Blind.
Maren accepted and the result “has the acoustic base that Horan has made his trademark, along with an infectious chorus accentuated by Morris’ vocals”.

The last time Louis Tomlinson graced the Teen Choice Awards stage, he was accompanied by his then-bandmates of One Direction to perform their high-energy hit “Best Song Ever” in 2013. Four years later, Tomlinson is returning to the awards show to perform, but this time, his co-performer is Bebe Rexha.
The pair will be performing their new collaboration, “Back to You,” which already has more than 50 million Spotify streams since its July 21 release. Although the track has only been out for a few weeks, this marks Tomlinson and Rexha’s second televised performance of “Back to You,” as they first took it to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Aug. 4 — which Tomlinson admits he was actually more nervous for than the TCAs.

He seems to have formed a close relationship with the music mogul over the years.
But Louis Tomlinson, 25, has confessed that he once received a scolding from boss Simon Cowell, after getting drunk before heading on stage with One Direction for one of their first gigs.
The singer was flown out to Los Angeles via business class and put up in the swanky Four Seasons hotel by his boss – only to then receive a ‘dressing down’ for his alcohol-fuelled antics and be told Simon was left ‘disappointed’ with him.

Terroll Lewis, 27, admitted attacking the chart-topping singer at the upmarket VQ restaurant in London after harassing her and a friend, Highbury Magistrates Court heard.
In December, Pinnock shared a shocking photo of her bruised face on Snapchat alongside the caption, ‘my face hurts’, but it is unclear whether that was as a result of Lewis’ actions.
Lewis claimed he only meant to push her face but CCTV footage showed him striking the songstress, who winced in horror.
Lewis, who admitted assault, was slapped with a three-year restraining order which bans him from contacting Miss Pinnock.
