But in order to make himself look as convincing as possible in the role, Zayn Malik was forced to entirely cover his vast array of tattoos.

A new video of the band preparing for the shoot shows make-up artists having to apply heavy make-up over Zayn’s designs in order not to detract from his appearance as female office assistant Veronica.

He’s known for being something of a ladies’ man, making the most of his star status since his meteoric rise to fame.

And now Harry Styles has opened up about rumours that he is in fact bisexual, saying that he’s ‘pretty sure’ that he’s not in the September issue of GQ Magazine.

The star has claimed that he finds the speculation funny, as One Direction embrace their serious sides for a more grown-up shoot.

And since the publication of the interview, the magazine has experienced a major backlash from dedicated Directioners, who bombarded the GQ Twitter account with a string of often foul-mouthed and abusive messages.

James Arthur teases new song in studio footage – watch
James Arthur has teased a new song.

The singer is currently working on his debut album and posted a video clip of himself recording a new track in the studio.

“Back in the studio this week. Thought you all might like to share a little look at me in full flow…” he tweeted with the YouTube video.

Arthur is expected to premiere his first single proper in the coming weeks, after winning The X Factor back in December 2012.

Olly Murs unsure of joining The Voice UK: ‘It depends on Simon Cowell’
Olly Murs has addressed rumours that he may sign up as a coach on The Voice UK next year.

The X Factor runner-up revealed that he has not been asked to join the BBC talent show, but hinted that he would be interested if asked.

Speaking to Capital FM, the ‘Troublemaker’ singer said: “I was quite honoured [to read the stories] to be honest. It’s a big job. Would I say no? I don’t know. I haven’t been offered anything.”

Murs continued to say that it would ultimately be up to his record label boss Simon Cowell as to whether or not he appears on a rival show.

The Essex charmer has snared the serv­ices of Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams for album number four, which he begins rec­ording later this year.

Olly told me: “I’m going to write a song with Gary, we’ve been speaking about it for years but it will happen for the next album.

“I saw him at Dermot O’Leary’s party and pulled him to one side and said: ‘Let’s get in the studio and see what happens.’

“We want to get Robbie in too, maybe even both of them at the same time to write a song, that would be great.”

Olly and Robb­ie, 39, who toured stadiums together this summer, are also plotting another project.
