The singer is going it alone after parting ways with Cowell’s Syco label.
Former X Factor winner Ben Haenow has opened up about his split from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.
The singer releases his new single Alive today (July 7) and appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about it as well as looking back on his X Factor win in 2014.
“In some respects it would have been easier to give up at that point,” he said of being dropped. “But I wanted to carry on. I was always into music before, I was in a band before trying to make it in the industry. The platform [The X Factor] gave me was fantastic.”

Every year the new season of The X Factor comes encircled by rumours that the format will change, alongside a potentially new judging and/or presenting line up.
But this year the judges – Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger – as well as presenter Dermot O’Leary have all been confirmed and indeed spotted filming for the early audition rounds.
The format, however, is allegedly due a shake up, and Simon, 57, is said to be considering altering the tried and tested Saturday and Sunday live shows in terms of their content.

Nicole Scherzinger lead the panel to the Surrey theme park in the first set of auditions of its kind this weekend, after producers teased plenty of shake-ups for the new season.
Less thrill-seeker and more frill-seeker in a ladylike pink dress, the beautiful brunette held Sharon Osbourne’s hand as Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and host Dermot O’Leary arrived at the attraction on a tour bus.

And the latest judge to sit out a round has been top dog Simon Cowell, who bowed out of the East London auditions after coming over unwell.
The head judge, 57, reportedly couldn’t face being present for the array of hopefuls that would have been trotted out in front of the panel to try their luck at stardom, retreating to the solitude of a dressing room and letting co-stars Nicole, Sharon and Louis Walsh to take the reigns.
