The singer is going it alone after parting ways with Cowell’s Syco label.
Former X Factor winner Ben Haenow has opened up about his split from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.

The singer releases his new single Alive today (July 7) and appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about it as well as looking back on his X Factor win in 2014.

“In some respects it would have been easier to give up at that point,” he said of being dropped. “But I wanted to carry on. I was always into music before, I was in a band before trying to make it in the industry. The platform [The X Factor] gave me was fantastic.”

Every year the new season of The X Factor comes encircled by rumours that the format will change, alongside a potentially new judging and/or presenting line up.
But this year the judges – Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger – as well as presenter Dermot O’Leary have all been confirmed and indeed spotted filming for the early audition rounds.
The format, however, is allegedly due a shake up, and Simon, 57, is said to be considering altering the tried and tested Saturday and Sunday live shows in terms of their content.
