‘No one could deserve this’: Liam Payne is overcome with emotion at sight of thousands of fans as One Direction’s world tour kicks off
They have been at the top of their game for a few years now.
But it seems Liam Payne still can’t quite get his head around just how many fans he and the rest of One Direction have.
The 20-year-old took to Twitter to show a picture of the thousands of fans who came to their hotel in Lima, Peru as their Where We Are world tour kicked off.

Terrified young fans were crushed during One Direction’s gig in Peru on Sunday night.
The shocking incident left 47 concert-goers suffering various injuries and requiring medical attention.
The boyband stopped performing and warned the crowd they would be forced to walk off stage if they didn’t stop pushing forward.
It’s not clear how serious the injuries are but local reports say some fans are still being treated with symptoms of asphyxia.
Tents were used as emergency pop-up treatment centres and an additional evacuation plan was put in place by the head of Peru’s volunteer fire service, Mario Cassareto, who insisted they handled the dangerous situation well.

CCTV footage of One Direction stars Niall Horan running around in his underwear and a topless Harry Styles cavorting in a hotel corridor has emerged online.
The video, posted onto YouTube, is believed to have been filmed from inside a luxury hotel in Buenos Aires, while the band are on tour.
Shirtless Harry, 20, is easily identified by his infamous torso tattoos which include an enormous butterfly on his chest with symmetrical swallow birds either side.
The confident singer is wearing cut-off shorts but kept his iconic curls hidden under a light coloured beanie hat.
In the video from inside five-star Hotel Sofitel Cardales, Harry dances along the walkway with his shirt off, keenly displaying the results of gruelling workout sessions with professional MMA trainer Mark Jarvis.

He is known for styling his curly brown locks up and away from his face.
But it seems Harry Styles is having to try out a slightly new look while on the South American leg of One Direction’s Where We Are world tour.
The teen hearthrob’s new style was shared with fans by his hairdresser Lou Teasdale on her Instagram page.

And for two lucky tourists Machu Picchu in Peru, South America became even more wondrous when they discovered two members of One Direction in their selfie.
The amusing snap shows the two tourists grinning and giving the thumbs up, while behind them Harry Styles and Liam Payne can be seen chilling while trekking the 15th-century Inca site.

It all proved too much for the boys in Peru, as they were forced to switch hotels to escape the noise.

They’ve recently embarked on their Where We Are world stadium tour, which has seen them photographed by thousands of die-hard fans.
But One Direction decided to take matters into their own hands – literally – when they took their own ‘selfie’ on stage in Santiago on Wednesday.
The five young men were joined by their live band for the snap, which was taken by Liam Payne and has so far been liked 350,000 times, re-tweeted 21,658 times and favourited 36,444 times.

Louis Walsh’s place on the X Factor panel is in jeopardy with ITV chiefs thinking a change is needed to revive flagging ratings.
One of the surprise names in the frame to replace the 61-year-old is Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, 35.
Show boss Simon Cowell is keen to save his old pal, who has been a fixture on the panel for a decade.
He insisted recently: “It wouldn’t be the same without him.”
But bosses are desperate to plug the ratings leak and American singer Jake is tipped as the man to do it.
A source said: “ITV aren’t sure about Louis and think it may be time for a change.
“Jake really impressed when he was a guest mentor on The Voice but Louis is very much Simon’s man, so we’ll have to wait and see.”

And it seems Simon Cowell has another trick up his creative sleeve as he plans to reboot a DJ competition show called Ultimate DJ.
Simon started working on the show back in 2012 with actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, but the series was shelved.
The music mogul will now join forces with SFX Entertainment to produce a new talent contest that will find the world’s next great deejay in the hopes of capitalising on the electronic music boom and the success of music mixers such as Calvin Harris.
