He recently disappointed fans after announcing he was pulling out of his first solo TV interview since leaving One Direction.
But on Monday evening, Zayn Malik once again dropped out of a promotional appearance, making this his second cancelled interview in less than a week.
The 23-year-old singer – who released his highly-anticipated debut single Pillowtalk on Friday – was due to appear on Greg James’ BBC Radio 1 show, but bailed on the gig half an hour before going live on air.

Zayn Malik Previews New Track ‘Late Nights’
Keeping with the after-hours theme of his first single “Pillowtalk,” Zayn Malik offered a preview on Twitter of a new track presumably called “Late Nights,” according to the caption.
The snippet comes after the frosty-haired crooner pulled the curtain on his kaleidoscopic “Pillowtalk” visual last week, which starred his supermodel bae Gigi Hadid and made timelines go in-zayn.
In his recent Billboard cover story, the former One Direction member sheds his boy band image for the uncensored version of himself. “That’s because I’m enjoying what I’m doing. I’m not censoring myself anymore, so I’m not tired. I love it,” he said.

The One Direction singer turned 22 on Monday, and surprised fans by tweeting the line ‘I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22,’ from his ex’s song, also called 22.
The pop stars dated for three months from November 2012 into January 2013.

But Daily Mail Online exclusively reveals Briana’s family is taking action – and have called in lawyers to deal with the barrage of ‘nasty’ abuse.
According to the 24-year-old’s relative everyone in her circle has become a target since the pair’s son Freddie Reign arrived on January 21.
The family member, who asked not to be named, says: ‘It has been an onslaught, the fans are attacking and breaking in to our social media profiles, trying to get our passwords, calling our homes at all hours of the day and night.

But the Little Mix singer’s emotions couldn’t be denied in the band’s video for their new single – Secret Love Song – on which they collaborated with Jason Derulo.
The four-piece – comprising Perrie, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson – dropped the accompanying visual to the ballad on Wednesday and it’s far more sombre than their previous offerings.

But will it still be on ITV?
Despite persistent rumours, it looks like The X Factor WILL be back next year.
The show faced some of its lowest ratings during the last series in 2015, with the final drawing only 5.95m viewers, and with its contract with ITV ending this year, some have speculated that the show could take a rest.
However, a Syco spokesperson rejected the claims, telling The Sun: “The X Factor will not be rested in 2017?.”?

The channel “fully intends” to renew its deals.
It had been rumoured after falling ratings that The X Factor may be rested when its current deal ends after 2016’s series.
Yesterday, a Syco spokesperson confirmed that the reality talent competition won’t be taking any time off, but it wasn’t clear whether the show would stay with ITV.
However, a spokesperson for the channel has now said that it plans to extend its deal for The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
“The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent contracts come up for renewal after the latest series air later this year, and we fully intend to continue with both shows into 2017 and beyond,” said an ITV spokesperson.
