“Freedom” is the upcoming second studio album by British singer-songwriter Rebecca Ferguson. The album is scheduled for release on digital retailers on December 2, 2013 via RCA Records. It comes preceded by the lead single “I Hope“, scheduled for release on iTunes (UK) on November 24th. Still no confirmed tracklist.

‘X Factor Greatest Hits’ album snub angers Steve Brookstein
Steve Brookstein has expressed his disappointment that The X Factor hasn’t included him on its upcoming Greatest Hits album.

The singer won the first series back in 2004 under the guidance of Simon Cowell, but has since fallen out with the Syco boss and has frequently criticised the talent show.

“I’ve not made the X Factor Greatest Hits Album,” Brookstein tweeted. “Thanks for the 1st ever X Factor No1 and the 6 million votes. Just wasn’t enough I guess.”

2007 X Factor winner Leon Jackson has also failed to make the final tracklist, despite his winner’s single ‘When You Believe’ going to number one.

The X Factor – The Greatest Hits will be released on November 25 in celebration of the show’s 10th series, which is currently airing on ITV.

‘The X Factor – Greatest Hits’: What didn’t make the cut?
We all know the X Factor is a well-oiled money machine, so it comes as no surprise that the show will release a celebratory Greatest Hits collection to get us buying all of those songs we probably already own.

This week, we have last year’s X Factor winner, James Arthur, telling us who made an impact on him.

“The whole girls’ category is my favourites so far,” he tells us. “Abi Alton could sell a lot of records with the unique style she has.

“When Hannah sings, there’s a real authenticity to her. The gospel in her voice is incredible. Her performances have been powerful, you believe every word she says.

“Tamera has the whole package, she’s a beautiful looking girl – she’s got a great voice. She’s like a better looking Rihanna.”

James Arthur: ‘X Factor’s Kingsland Road make me cringe’
James Arthur has taken a swipe at The X Factor’s Kingsland Road.

The star – who won the ITV series last year – said that Gary Barlow’s group “aren’t good enough” and called for them to leave the show this weekend.

He tweeted: “Im sorry but this Kingsland Road have me cringing to the max, they aren’t good enough. There time must come to an end this Sunday #xfactor”

He went on to compare the act to fellow UK boybands such as One Direction, Lawson and Union J.

“Now this is what I’m talking about we have @UnionJworld @onedirection and dare I say @LawsonOfficial (boyband? Not boyband?) Kingsland no,” he posted.
