Louis Walsh to return to The X Factor
Irish music manager Louis Walsh will return The X Factor panel.

Louis confirmed the news over the weekend, telling the Sunday World newspaper: “I’ve signed a new contract. I’m back, I’m signed and I want an Irish act.

“I want them to be really good and I want them to make the final… We start auditions in Cardiff in June.”

Louis was axed by Simon Cowell last year, but critics and viewers were not happy about his dismissal.

“The viewers wanted me back and I’m thrilled to be back,” Louis said.

Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger has exited a Broadway role in musical Cats for the X Factor. She appeared on the talent show in 2012 and 2013.

It has also been reported that Sharon Osbourne will be making her return to the judges’ desk this year, despite her recent marital woes.

Simon will be the only judge from last year’s line-up to take part in the 2016 series.

The returning judges will replace Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
