Simon Cowell is shaking up X Factor UK this season. Two versions will air. First up is The X Factor: Celebrity featuring c-list type celebrities singing for the crown. Also on the schedule is X Factor UK All Stars featuring fan favorite X Factor alums.
Eric Ascher will be covering both shows. But if you aren’t around on Saturdays when the series is scheduled to air on ITV, or don’t want to fuss with streams and VPNs, fans in America can watch X Factor UK on the AXS cable channel. Here’s the press release announcing Celebrity. The show premieres on ITV Saturday October 12 at 8 pm GMT 3 pm ET. Check out the full list of contestants, which also include journalist Martin Bashir.
This year, The X Factor is going star-studded with an all-new format and a very special lineup of celebrity competitors including Ricki lake, Hayley Hasselhoff, Kevin McHale, and Olivia Olson. Series creator, Simon Cowell, will be joined by a few of our favorite past The X Factor UK judges, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
The upcoming season puts a fresh spin on the long-standing series, pitting stars from film, television, sports, and more against each other as they put their singing talents on full display in The X Factor: Celebrity. We’ll head into the landmark 16th season with eight all-new episodes every Monday night starting at 8/7c. The X Factor: Celebrity is 8 weeks long. The All-Star version, which features former American Idol judge Paula Abdul taking Nicole’s place on the panel, will probably be scheduled next. We’ll post All-Star details as soon as they are available.
