X Factor Top 7 – Poll Results and Power List!

The poll results are in! Here’s how you rated the Top 7:

1. Melanie Amaro 39.59%
2. Drew 29.3%
3. Josh Krajcik 13.39%
4. Chris Rene 5.56%
5. Astro 5.3%
6. Rachel Crow 3.95%
7. Marcus Canty 2.91%

Despite one of his weaker performances last night, Josh Krajcik still lands near the top of the poll, which leads me to believe he’s got people. Chris Rene who, arguably, had one of his worst performances of the competition, is also surprisingly strong.

Rachel Crow and Marcus Canty are at the bottom, and I do believe we may be looking at our bottom 2. Neither have strong bases, I’m afraid.

Here’s my power list. Oh look! I agree with ya’ll this time.  Remember…we have another DOUBLE ELIMINATION this week. Who do you think is going home?

1. Melanie Amaro – Our out-and-proud Island girl didn’t deliver her best performance last night, but I think she struck a chord with a big, big song. If she had more star power, she’d be running away with this thing. But, she’s still got a chance to win.

2. Drew – I thought Drew had the performance of the night. Yes, the slowed down “Billie Jean” was done spectacularly by David Cook on Idol. But despite Simon’s lack of imagination, I truly believe Drew put her own spin on it. I’ll be surprised if young Drew doesn’t make the finals.

3. Josh Krajcik – Josh is the man. And he’s got people PEOPLE. Last night’s performance was solid, but not spectacular. Josh has yet to deliver a bad performance. That, and a retro AC style that appeals to a broad audience, and I think he could be our winner. No way he doesn’t make the final

4. Chris Rene – Last night’s performance was not good. Dude hit so many bad notes, I CAN’T EVEN. But he’s got people. And they’ll all be coming after me now. He’s never been in the bottom. Don’t think he’ll be there this week either.

5. Astro – I think Astro could be in the bottom this week, and if he’s in a position to be saved, he will be. So no worries there.

6. Rachel Crow – I’m beginning to believe, like some of you, that Simon’s been picking such terrible songs for Rachel, because he doesn’t care about her. He may be sacrificing her for the sake of Drew and Melanie. There’s a strong possibility she’ll end up in the bottom, with even the fewest number of votes, which would automatically send her home. To be honest, I think her parents should have waited a couple of years before allowing her to compete. She’ll be so good in 5 years or so, and in more of a position to speak her own mind.

7. Marcus Canty – Early on, I thought Marcus could be a dark horse. He has gotten some pimpage from the panel, but he’s not catching on. Last night’s performance was well arranged and staged, but he didn’t deliver vocally. I’ll be SHOCKED if he’s not in the bottom. I feel certain he’ll be one of the two contestants going home this week.
