The Voice Season 20 Knockouts Week 1 Pairings and Song Choices
The Voice 20 Knockouts kick off on Monday (April 19). Check out which pairs will perform, (and their song choices) for a chance to compete in the Live Playoffs.
Similar to the Battles, the coaches paired up members of their teams. However, instead of duets, each singer will perform a song of their own choosing. The teams prepared for battle with the help of coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas. Rap singer and television star Snoop Dogg served as all four teams’ Mega Mentor.
After the performance, the coach chooses a winner to move on to the next round. The loser is eliminated, unless stolen by a rival coach. A four-way knockout comprised of singers saved by their coaches during Battles will be voted on by viewers at home. The winner will join the remaining 16 artists to compete in the Live Playoffs.
Also, note the return of Kelly Clarkson after Kelsea Ballerini sat in for her during the Battle round studio performances while she recovered from an illness.
The Voice airs Monday April 18 at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC.
