The American Song Contest enters its second and final week of semi-finals on Monday (May 2). The remaining winners of the first five Qualifiers perform. Additionally, New York state’s Enisa will perform “Green Light,” filling the Redemption/Wildcard slot.

First, it’s annoying that NBC is already beginning to delete videos off their Youtube channel. The network has already made Qualifiers 1 and 2 videos private. Fans have uploaded rips, while the studio recordings still remain up at the Atlantic Records channel and other streamers.

On last week’s Semi-Final 1 episode, the jury picked Washington singer-songwriter, Allen Stone’s “A Bit of Both” to move on to May 9th’s Finale. The remaining four songs from week 1 will be announced on Monday.

Interesting that four of the Qualifiers Jury winners competed on week one, leaving on one remaining to compete on week 2. Also, the three Qualifiers 5 songs America voted through will compete on week 2. (American Samoa, North Carolina, California).

Five songs from each of the two semi-final weeks advance to the May 9 finale. American Song Contest airs on NBC at 8 pm ET/PT. Find out which songs will be featured on Monday May 2 below. Ashley will be live blogging the show, so don’t miss it.

American Song Contest Semi-finals Week 2 Contestants

Tenelle – Full Circle – American Samoa – Tenelle brings a healing and spiritual island vibe to American Song Contest. – VIDEO

John Morgan – Right in the Middle – North Carolina – John’s vocal has that nasally country twang. But it’s about the song right? Kind of a br0-country vibe happening here. He co-wrote Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood’s “I Don’t Love You” and has opened on tour for the former.  – VIDEO

Sweet Taboo – Keys to the Kingdom – California – This trio brings the tradition of fierce female vocal groups to the competition. The song has a multicultural feel and a ton of attitude. The gals rap too. – VIDEO

Michael Bolton -Beautiful World –  Connecticut – Michael Bolton is probably the most accomplished artist competing in the American Song Contest. A mega pop star in the 80’s and 90’s, his sound is dated now, but he’ll probably still make it to the final. – VIDEO

Stela Cole – DIY – Georgia – Stela has a loyal following on social media, it’s know wonder fans advanced her to the semi-finals, despite the jury not ranking her particularly high. Her song has tons of attitude. – VIDEO

Broderick Jones – Tell Me – Kansas – Broderick brings a soulful Pop/EDM vibe and awesome performing skills to the American Song Contest. – VIDEO

Enisa – Green Light – New York – On last week’s episode, Snoop and Kelly announced Enisa as the second Redemption artist. She didn’t get the votes initially, but will perform as a Wildcard. The pop singer, a first generation American, infuses her music with multicultural influences. – VIDEO

Chloe Fredericks – Can’t Make You Love Me – North Dakota – A fourth generation cattle rancher, the singer is Native American and got her tribe name last fall. Her song blends a pow wow beat with country music.  – VIDEO

Christian Pagan – Loko – Puerto Rico – Christian is a high energy Latin performer who sings in a mix of Spanish and English. Already he’s a popular performer in his home territory. – VIDEO

Tyler Braden – Seventeen – Tennessee – Tyler nabbed the Qualifiers 3 Jury award and advanced straight to the semi-finals. He’s the only Jury winner performing this week. The Nashville singer has a storyteller voice. Think Chris Stapleton. – VIDEO

Grant Noche – Mr. Independent – Texas – Mr. Independent is almost a call back to fellow Texan, Kelly Clarkson’s “Miss Independent.” Her hyping him up didn’t hurt. However, he is a decent vocalist and performer. – VIDEO
