Watch the Walmart Shareholders Meeting 2012. Jessica Sanchez hinted yesterday on twitter that she was flying off to someplace special.
The American Idol winner always performs at the annual meeting, but with Phillip Phillips getting ready for kidney surgery, it’s probably up to Jessica to take his place.
The meeting began at 7 pm CDT and will end at 11 CDT. Jessica will probably appear about halfway through, but don’t hold me to that.
Host, Justin Timberlake, just took the stage. Count on other celebrity sightings as well!
ETA: The Zac Brown Band performed, as did Take 6 and Lionel Richie. Taylor Swift did a bit with host Justin Timberlake. She performed, but her record label blacked it out from streaming. Celine Dion closed out the meeting.
UPDATE: There were NO Idols at the big Friday shareholders meeting this year! That’s a first for me since I began covering Idol in 2006. Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze and Scotty McCreery ALL performed at the Walmart Shareholder’s meeting the year they took the crown. Jennifer Hudson performed as well, I believe in 2007.
Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler performed separate concerts for shareholders earlier in the week.
I don’t know where Jessica was flying off to, but she’s tweeting about shopping this morning. Ha.
