The Voice 8 winner, Sawyer Fredericks, sang the National Anthem before the NASCAR XFinity Series Zippo 200 car race in Watkins Glen, New York.
The young singer performed the anthem, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. Sawyer and his family live on a farm upstate, not too far away from the Finger Lakes location of Watkins Glen.
Currently, Sawyer is working on his debut album for Republic Records. Recently he travelled out to Los Angeles to write and record. Recently, his family received the Nissan the singer won as part of his The Voice 8 prize package.
