The Voice – Chris Jamison Sings The National Anthem (VIDEO)

The Voice - Season 7

Yesterday afternoon (Dec 21), The Voice 7 2nd runner-up, Chris Jamison performed the National Anthem for his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers!

Unfortunately, TV networks generally don’t air the anthem unless it’s a playoff game, or something equally special. We’ll have to make do with a video recorded in the stands of Heinz field by a fan with a phone.

So, it’s not great, but good enough to tell that Chris nailed it. He hit those high notes, clear as a bell. You can hear the fans all around the videographer cheer Chris on!

The singer is back in the ‘burgh for the holidays, but soon he’ll be heading to Los Angeles to make the most of the exposure The Voice experience afforded him.

“It’s incredible. I’ve learned so much about music and television, about myself,” said Chris in a recent interview with the Post-Gazette, about his time on The Voice, “I’ve learned about that guy on stage in the pink shirt, singing ‘Gravity’ and not moving at all. I’m just more comfortable with everything,” he said.

“Right now there is nothing solid that I can really talk about.,” said Chris of his future plans. “I’ve been emailing and calling back and forth with people. I’m going to try really, really hard to make myself known outside of ‘The Voice.’ It’s not like ‘Chris Jamison falls off the face of the Earth.’ ”

“It’s kind of exciting knowing I have no idea what’s going to happen in the next couple of months.”
