The Voice 7 – The Knockouts Pt 2 – Take The Polls!

The Voice - Season 7

I am STILL stewing about the results of the Team Gwen faceoff between Taylor John Williams and Troy Ritchie. Until I checked out twitter I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN that Taylor’s Blind Audition song was….HEARTLESS! Done in nearly the same way Kris Allen performed it. After covering The Gary Jules version of “Mad World” tonight, just as Adam Lambert did, which season 8 contestant will Taylor tackle next? Do you think a poll is in order? In any case. It bolsters my point. Taylor isn’t very original. And whatever you thought of Troy, he at least stuck his neck out and tried something different. MOST ROBBED FOR SURE.

Taylor Swift continued to be an astute adviser tonight. Her performance tips for each individual contestant were absolutely spot on. For instance, with Ricky, she caught on to his potential for an adoring female following. Even though she had trouble following it, Taylor’s advice to Alessandra– to punctuate her delivery, and bring some grit to her vocal–zeroed in on the problems the singer had bringing emotional intensity to her performance. Taylor is way to famous for that shiz, but if she wanted to, she has the potential to be an awesome  full time coach.

Anway. That’s me. What say you? Take the POLLS PEOPLE! But click to read my recap first. Kelly will be back to recap on Monday, when the last of the Knockout Rounds air.
