You Tube Announces First Ever Awards Show – Nominees

Youtube announced its first ever Youtube Awards on Monday. Fans can now vote in all of the categories.

Votes can be created all across popular social platforms. It’s a little confusing, but here’s how:

The nominees were selected based on views over the past 12 months. Actor Jason Schwartzman will host the awards show, which will include guest performances by Eminem, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire, and more.

The event, directed by Spike Jonez, will webcast live on Nov. 3 from New York City’s Pier 36.

With the everlasting popularity of memes, and Youtube views propelling songs up the Billboard charts, I’m not surprised this is happening.
