Trent Harmon’s first post-Idol single, from his forthcoming album, “There’s a Girl” is out today! In fact, fans can download the song RIGHT NOW on iTunes.

This afternoon the track will premiere on iHeartCountry at 4 pm ET. Simultaneously, the American Idol winner will be conducting a Facebook Live Q&A on the iHeartCountry FB page.

In an interview late last month with Indianapolis country radio station Hank FM, Big Machine Label group chief, Scott Borchetta, said originally they planned to promote Trent’s Idol coronation song, “Falling,” co-written by American Idol judge Keith Urban as the first single. But when Scott heard “There’s a Girl,” a co-write with Jimmy Robbins and  Laura Veltz, plans changed immediately.

“I called Trent’s manager and I said, ‘I’m changing the whole course of this, this song’s a smash,” said Borchetta.  The team went into the studio to mix the song. Promotion began right away.

The upbeat ode to romance can also be streamed on Spotify. If you have that, listen to the full song, right here.

What do you think? Will “There’s a Girl” be a hit?
