American Idol Top 50 Update - Rumors and Spoilers!

More rumored Top 50 contestants have been added to Joesplace. Joesplace has been scouring the net for Idol info–she’s made some contacts and has put together a list of contestants who could be this seasons Top 50. The Top 24 will be chosen later this month. Check out the list… after the jump.

According to Joesplace, the first two audition cities will be San Diego on the 15th and Dallas, Texas on the 16th.

Dave makes the point that American Idol has become over-professionalized. There seem to be quite a few contestants with long resumes on this year’s list, but I’m going reserve judgement until I actually see who makes the Top 24, and how the producers package them.

Personally, I have no problem with an artist looking for a second chance, or pursuing every option possible to break into the business. I DO have a problem with the producers behaving like we’re a bunch of idiots who don’t know how to use the internet.

This should be interesting.
