Frenchie Davis is not the Only The Voice contestant with an aborted relationship with American Idol.
Top 4 contestant, Vicci Martinez tells Lindsey Parker of Yahoo Music that she scored a golden ticket to Hollywood Season 1, but made the decision to walk away from the opportunity.
“I know I was only 16 then, but my instincts kicked in just reading the contract, ” she revealed.
She also did not like the questions Idol producers were asking in interviews, “”I was like, this is mean. Some of the stuff that they were asking me, that’s not what music’s about.”
Vicci claims her experience on The Voice has been completely different, “From the beginning, this show has not asked us to be competitive or anything. They just want us to continue to focus on ourselves and make sure that we keep our style and who we are.”
