Addison Agen to sing at Komets game – New Year’s Eve is always one of the biggest nights of the season for fans of the Komets. This season, the atmosphere should be particularly electric. Addison Agen, the 16-year-old Concordia student who was the runner-up this month on “The Voice,” will sing the National Anthem at Sunday’s game at Memorial Coliseum. “Obviously we’re excited about having Addison join us to sing,” said Scott Sproat, the Komets’ executive vice-president and co-owner. “She brought tremendous attention to the city of Fort Wayne. We are excited to give her a platform to sing here.” The Komets, who play host to the Wheeling Nailers at 8 p.m. Friday, will take on the rival Toledo Walleye at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. News the 68-year-old record producer arrived in Europe from Los Angeles on the morning of December 26 and stayed with his Smash actress girlfriend, 33, at the Four Seasons George V. American Idol judge Luke Bryan’s kangaroo gift for wife causes controversy – Country superstar Luke Bryan has caused controversy for getting his wife two kangaroo joeys for Christmas. The internet was split on the issue with some backing Bryan for doing something “nice” for his wife after a tough year and those who were keen to point out that kangaroos are wild animals. “Kangaroos are endangered and belong in the wild,” marlenerose1829 wrote. “you don’t even know where the kangaroos even came from. They could have been abandoned, sick, unable to live in the wild for some reason. I know some of the other animals at Brett’s Barn were rescued. Murrysville twins Mirror Image release first single, ‘From Many Men’ – The Edwards twins of Murrysville first caught the nation’s attention through their dancing and infectious personalities as part of “America’s Got Talent.” Now they’re hoping to keep that attention through the release of their first single, “From Many Men.” Trent and Colton Edwards’ highly danceable song starts with a light, syncopated rhythm reminiscent of Jamaican dancehall, before dropping some heavy bass on the chorus.
