The first The Voice season 14 Blind Audition preview video has arrived! In it, guitar strumming hopeful Britton Buchanan performs a bluesey and confident interpretation of Ray LaMontagne’s “Trouble.”
However, it’s a safe bet that TPTB didn’t choose the audition based on Britton’s impressive musical chops. Because in this audition, we see the NEW twist The Block in action.
The singer moves Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton to hit their buttons. Watch closely, however, and you’ll see Blake hit the “Adam” button on his console. That means Blake has taken Team Adam out of contention. When Adam realizes what’s happened, he instantly blames Blake, who initially feigns innocence. SUCH FUN AND GAMES.
In the meantime, newbie coach, American Idol OG winner Kelly Clarkson, just sits on the sidelines and takes it all in.
We don’t see who Britton picks. But due to Blake’s block, Britton may have felt obligated to choose him. Or, maybe he’ll be annoyed that Adam was taken off the table by Blake, and will choose Alicia. My fingers are crossed for the later!
