The countdown begins! In two weeks, on Monday September 25, The Voice season 13 premieres on NBC. The fall 2017 cycle features veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, returnee Miley Cyrus and newbie Jennifer Hudson.
And now that we’re close close to the big premiere, NBC has given hopefuls permission to officially announce their participation on social media. Do a search on Twitter for “I Auditioned” or “The Voice” and you’ll find singers promoting the show with this banner:

Spoiler Alert: Idol Forums has once again done a first-rate job putting together contestant lists based on tips from audience members, social media sleuthing, etc. The color coded list on the first page, which is continually updated, is a must-stop for all your spoiler needs. Check the Idol Forums Spoiler Page here. So far there is a fairly complete list of the Top 48 organized by teams, and some Battle and Knockout results. Names are color coded and grouped together according to how far a singer made it in the competition.
ALL of the preliminary rounds are completed, including the Blind, Battle, Knockouts. And this year, for the first time since season 6, the Playoffs are NOT kicking off the live rounds and voting. The Playoffs were filmed on August 31 and September 1. The Top 12 have been chosen by the coaches.
Blech. My philosophy when it comes to singing competitions: The more viewer involvement, the better. The more producers/coaches are calling the shots, the harder it is to become invested in a contestant’s journey. I suspect the decision to tape the Playoffs ahead of the premier has to do with the coaches busy busy busy schedules. But still. Boo.
Here’s a mini list of notable contestants. I’ll add to the list when we find more.
Notable:
Hannah Mrozak who made the Top 48 season 14 of American Idol auditioned and apparently got a turn
Ignatius Carmouche – Won The Voice 12 Snapchat
Joshua Lewis – Survived the Pulse Nightclub shooting (!!!) but was, thankfully, not injured.
Keisha Renee – Background singer for famous folk like Nicki Minaj, American Idol season 10 contestant
Natalie Stovall – Country singer The Boot reports: “The fiddle phenom/singer/songwriter took a break from her relentless tour schedule with her band the Drive to audition for the hit talent show. In addition to her own band and tour schedule, the prolific artist also performs with radio host Bobby Bones and his band the Raging Idiots.”
