First up: Portugal the Man perform their song “Feel It.” The kiddos get groovy remembering the times before they were born.

In a video clip, the contestants quiz their coaches about their humble beginnings in music. Funny how Jennifer Hudson glosses over the thing that actually kicked off her career ((pfft cruise ship).

The Top 10 take the stage! Host Carson Daly reminds us that FOUR contestants hit the iTunes Top 10 last night. Brooke Simpson and Keisha Renee get the dumb questions, this round. Blah blah blah…advice my coach gave me blah blah blah. Ok. America saved…from Team Miley…Brooke Simpson! America also saved…from Team Adam…Addison Agen.

More results! The remaining 8 artists are back on stage. Red Marlow has a message for the folks back home. “I love all y’all!” America saved…from Team Blake…Keisha Renee!!! America also saved…from Team Jennifer…Noah Mac. WHEW.

In a short video clip, Reba McEntire announces that the WINNER of Season 13 will join the other 5 singers in the Las Vegas show Neon Dreams opening in June. That makes sense. She’s surrounded by the stars, Alisan Porter, Mary Sarah, Matt McAndrew and Matthew Schuler. Those four and Chris Mann also join Carson live in the studio. Alisan reveals they’ll be back to give fans a preview. Hm. Season 11 singer Michael Sanchez is no longer listed on the website as part of the show. Wonder what happened? He hasn’t tweeted since November.

Next, a video piece on what life has been like for Season 12 winner, Chris Blue. His coach Alicia Keys signed him to her management team. He’s married now, and working on his debut album.

And even more results: America saved…from Team Blake…Chloe Kohanski! America also saved…Adam Cunningham. Carson shouts the result as if it were the SHOCK of the night. (Finally…I predict correctly!). Adam flips out…he obviously was not expecting to be safe. He hugs it out with coach Adam Levine. The remaining contestants…likely peeing their pants.

After the break, season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery performs “Worth It” from her new album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. Still impressed with her pitch perfect performances. And at 21, she’s grown into an able interpreter and storyteller. Bye bye pageant bot… No chat with Daniel after her performance. There’s too much left to do!

The remaining four artists are back on stage. If Ashland Craft sticks around, she wants to show her “softer side” next week. America saved…Red Marlow. As if. Last to be saved, but nowhere near the bottom, I bet.  Ashland, Davon and Shi’Ann will sing for the Instant Save AFTER the break.

Ashland Craft – Tonight I Want to Cry by Keith Urban – Miley’s song choices for Ashland–all that cornball country stuff–helped do her in. She probably should have busted out a ballad at some point. Still, even here, there’s something missing. She’s also kinda pitchy. Miley thinks she’s shown SO much, even before the live shows. Miley insists they two of them have more to show America.

Shi’Ann Jones – At Last – I have no idea what’s going on here. Shi’Ann does not sound good. Her pitch is all over the place. Even her typically impressive tone sounds weird here. She hits a tiny little whistle note to finish. Kiddo. Go home and get yourself some more experience. Jennifer stresses that Shi’Ann is the youngest in the competition. She touts the growth that she’s made so. She’s like a sponge, Jennifer insists. Whatever she needs to soak up, at this point, she needs to do out of the spotlight.

Davon Fleming – Ain’t No Way by Aretha Franklin – Davon is clearly the winner here, people. Davon oversings a little, but I’ll give him a pass. He’s singing for his life! Jennifer has two singers in the bottom tonight. Judging by her reaction, she’s all in for Davon at this point. Jennifer insists that he never belonged in the bottom three to begin with.

Tweet the hashtag of the singer you want to save. Retweets count. Five minutes people! I’m voting for Davon. When the graphic is taken off the screen, he’s leading at 48%. Ashland and Shi’ann are tearful as they thank their coaches. “Take it from me,” Jennifer says to her singers “I was eliminated at seven” Eliminated? From where? Ha ha. From That Show That Shall Not be Named.

And America INSTANTLY SAVED Davon FlemingAshland Craft and Shi’Ann Jones are ELIMINATED. I got a prediction right! Suck it haters. j/k.

Team Miley is down to one member–Brooke Simpson–while all three of Team Blake’s members remain. Team Adam’s Adam Cunningham was given a reprieve this week, but surely he’ll be gone in next week’s bloodbath, when FOUR singers will be eliminated. ALL of Team Blake’s members have a shot at the final. Could three quarters of the final four be made up of Team Blake members? That would be an unprecedented outcome. One, I think, producers would try hard to avoid.

Correction: Many commenters reminded me that all three members of Adam Levine’s team made it to the final four, although the voting method was a bit different than usual. Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison from Team Adam and Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake were advanced via Monday’s vote, while Team Adam’s third member Damian, competed on Tuesday against every other eliminated member of the Top 12 for a wildcard spot in the finals. His win was announced the next day on the Today show. And in the end, it was Blake’s lone finalist, Craig Wayne Boyd, that took home the prize. If Blake gets a third singer through to the final, it will likely be via the Instant Save. Still, I hope it doesn’t happen. It would be a better outcome for the show if more coaches are represented in the final.
