Tonight’s The Voice was filmed months ago, therefore NBC aired a simple card noting last night’s tragedy in Las Vegas.

Adam Cunningham – 38 – Nashville – Midnight Rider by Allman Brothers –  Adam became a full time session singer to pay the bills. He and his wife had a baby girl last year. We see his family at home. CUTE BABBY. To earn a living for his family, Adam sings on demos.  He put out a couple of Christian albums on a major label, but was dropped.  “Things just fell apart everywhere” he says about the experience, tearing up, but not elaborating.  It’s understandable that he’s a session singer. Adam has a recognizable, recordable voice–but not very distinct, unfortunately. Blake turns first. Jennifer turns at the VERY last minute. Literally on his last note! Miley tries to convince Adam not to go with the obvious choice. Pick JHud! Jennifer says she is drawn to the soul in his voice. Blake loves Adam’s accuracy and pitch, and that he’s from Nashville. He’s not trying very hard–probably knowing he doesn’t have to.  JHud mentions that she competed “on another show something like this.” Nevertheless, Adam Picks Team Blake Shelton  – Download from iTunes

Hannah Mrozak – 18 – Richfield WI –  Starving by Hailee Steinfeld – She’s an esthetician, but has been involved in music all of her life. Hannah has a very sad backstory: Her brother, who wanted her to audition for The Voice, committed suicide last year. Blake, Adam and Jennifer push their buttons pretty quick. Hannah’s a solid singer. Nice intonation and phrasing and an impressive range. She doesn’t try too hard. FYI: Hannah auditioned for American Idol a few years ago.  Adam thinks she’s a skilled singer with good tone. Blake notes her “comfort” on stage.  Adam promises Hannah that she’d have a “marquee” position on his team. Adam and Jhud are fighting pretty hard for Hannah. But ultimately, Hannah Picks Team Adam Levine –  Download from iTunes

Shilo Gold – 26 – Denver – Stay With Me Baby by Lorraine Ellison Her father is a 7th generation cantor. She attended Berklee for a while, but then went on to manage her own career and travel the world. I’m not sure if Shilo has a cold or her voice is really that raspy! It’s taking awhile but finally, Jennifer and Miley hit their buttons on the last note. She talks with a major rasp too. Adam gets her a glass of water. That was an underwhelming performance. Miley says they have similar voices. She knows how to take care of it. Jennifer calls her “unique.” Shilo Picks Team Miley Cyrus  –   Download from iTunes

Samantha Rios – 16 – Something’s Gotta Hold on Me by Etta James -Her parents are from South America. She grew up listening to Hispanic music but also loves pop music. She enjoys singing in both languages. She sings with a children’s choir that has performed at the White House. She kicks off a cappella before the band kicks in. The coaches seem to be waiting for something to happen. On a soulful song there’s gotta be some big riffs. None here. Adam was waiting for that “extra gear.” Jennifer gives Samantha a few coaching tips. They suggest she come back. Jennifer regrets not turning. – No Turns

Noah Mac – 17 – Dublin CA – Way Down We Go by Kaleo – Noah turned a shed in his backyard into a recording studio. Needless to say, his parents are very supportive. “It’s like he’s made out of music,” says his dad. He sang for the first time at his sister’s funeral. She passed from brain cancer at 19. He was 8 years old. He sings the first line of the son a cappella. He’s one of those old soul teens. His style is a little gangly. And he’s a bit tentative, until he hits the chorus. The coaches notice. Jennifer and Blake both hit their buttons. “WHOA You’re HOT” says Miley. Blake reminds her that Noah is underage. Miley hopes the cops bring handcuffs? OK. Jennifer felt his passion and soul. “I feel like I got on the Noah roller coaster.” Blake loved his round full tone on the upper notes. “You’ve got something special,” says Blake. He thinks Noah can handle the pressure of the competition after all he’s been through. Noah Picks Team Blake Shelton  – Download from iTunes

Davon Fleming – 25 – Baltimore MD –  Me & Mr Jones by Amy Winehouse – Davon grew up in a tough part of Baltimore. He’s a worship leader currently, writing vocal arrangements for songs. His mom also had a dream to be a singer. Interesting song choice. It’s Amy, but not one of her hits. He’s got a unique, tenor voice and wonderful phrasing. Buttons are pushed immediately. All four. Jennifer begins waving her shoe. She tosses it. “You’re going to be in the finale,” says Blake. “You’ve got your own style,” says Miley. Davon says he lives for Jennifer. They bond over Whitney.  I don’t think this is a contest. Miley tosses out that her godmother wrote “I Will Always Love You.” Jhud and Davon sing a bit of the song as a duet. Yeah, This is over. Adam tries though, “The best fit is found in the strangest places,” he offers. Blake mentions that he’s won the show a bunch of freaking times. But of course, Davon Picks Team Jennifer HudsonDownload from iTunes

Kathrina Feigh – Big White Room by Jessie J – She grew up in the Philippines. At 9 years old, she moved to Los Angeles and grew up taking lots of music lessons. Her parents wanted her to study medicine. But she really wanted to study musical theater, and her parents understood. Big strong voice, but kind of generic. It takes a bit, but finally Jennifer and Blake hit their button. These two have been going head to head all night. Miley is Team JHud. Jennifer loves her vibrato. Katharina mentions that she saw Jennifer on Broadway.  She loves her some JHud, so of course Kathrina Picks Team Jennifer Hudson – Download from iTunes

Addison Agen – 16 – Fort Wayne – Jolene by Ray Lamontagne  – Her father owns a record store. Her dad installed a stage and she sings there all the time. Mom is a music therapist. She calls her genre “alternative folk.”  Addison’s performance is effortless and heartfelt. She’s got a beautiful, authentic tone. Adam and Miley turn their chairs. Blake is Team Miley. Adam gushes all over her and compares her to Danielle Bradbery. Oh. Addison is better than Danielle was at this stage. It took Danielle a few years to be able to convey emotion. Miley seems to be the obvious choice. Adam fights really hard, but to no avail. Addison Picks Team Miley Cyrus – Download from iTunes

Adam Pearce – 31 – New Orleans LA – Hot Blooded by Foreigner – Oh, he’s a returnee. He sang “Whiter Shade of Pale” during season 12 blinds. At the time, Adam suggested he get a handle on his pitch. After the rejection he sought out a few vocal coaches to help him. He loves classic rock, obviously.  This song is so dumb. I mean. Rhyming “see” with “103?” Nope. Having said that–he’s staying on key this time. Adam and Miley turn right away. He’s a decent singer, but so so dated. His family is backstage singing along. Adam kinda remembers him. “Every single note was on,” says Miley. Blake reminds Adam that Miley chose him the first time she heard him. Still, Adam Picks Team Adam Levine –  Download from iTunes

Myles Frost – 17 – My Cherie Amour by Stevie Wonder – Myles is a dancer and a singer. He plays 5 instruments. His main instrument is piano. His dad wasn’t “really in the picture” when he was growing up. He just graduated from high school. So much buildup. And this kid isn’t very good. Lots of pitch problems, and he seems really really nervous.  Adam says “you are so set up to come back and try again.” Jennifer notes that Stevie isn’t easy to sing. “Come on back again,” says Jennifer, “You definitely got a voice.” – No Turns

Moriah Formica – Crazy on You by Heart – 16 – She loves Rock n Roll. Her dad brought her up on 80’s hair metal. She started taking singing lessons at 11. At 14 she sang with the Stryper dude on one of his songs. Adam is her first choice. But Jennifer would be cool too. Will she choose either of them? (ETA: Of course she didn’t). We previewed this earlier HERE. She’s a dead ringer for Ann Wilson. Which is a bit of a problem? At 16 she hasn’t developed her own style yet. She’s got so much potential though! Miley turns first, Adam, Blake and Jennifer next. Adam calls her “the next great rock n roll singer.” Miley compares her to Beth Hart. Moriah picks Team Miley Cyrus.   Download from iTunes
