The Voice Ratings Go Fractional, Hit Another Low

The Voice Cross Battles

NBC must be disappointed. Moving The Voice to 9 pm did not help the competition reality show’s ratings. The Voice Tuesday hit a new low this week, dipping below 1.0 in the key 18-49 ratings for the first time ever, hitting a new low. The show surpasses American Idol lowest rating for a regular competition broadcast (not counting clip shows!).

Over the past couple of weeks, American Idol ratings have rivaled The Voice. But the latter ratings tend to start strong, followed by a steady decrease. American Idol ratings start lower than The Voice, but remain steadier throughout the entire season. This season, as they did last season, The Voice will likely have a higher ratings average than American Idol.
