The Voice Ratings Dip vs Last Week’s Premiere, The Bachelor Rises

Kelly Clarkson The Voice Season 14

The Bachelor revealed a SHOCKING twist last night, but nevertheless, The Voice outpaced the show’s ratings to top the night. However, The Voice was down 3/10s of a point vs last week’s season 14 premiere–2.8 to a 2.5 in the 18-49 demo. Last fall’s comparable show garnered a 2.6 rating (The Voice could match that number pending an upward adjustment in this afternoon’s final update). Last spring, the comparable Monday night show earned a 2.7.

After ABC’s relentless hyping of a “shocking twist” The Bachelor earned its best ratings of the season–a 2.2 in the 18-49 demo, up 4/10ths vs last week and a half a point better than the show’s season average. However, it was a half a point behind last year’s finale.
