The Voice Ratings Beat American Idol Again, But The Gap Narrows

The Voice ratings beat American Idol on Monday night (March 27) as it always will, but the gap between the two shows narrowed this week. American Idol was up 1/10th of a point at 1.7, narrowing the margin of victory for The Voice, which fell 3/1oths to 2.0.

The narrower margin comes at a time–during the music-starved Battle rounds–when The Voice ratings generally fall off. American Idol kicked off a new round (Hollywood Week) which generally results in a ratings bump. In any case, it seems as though Idol ratings have settled some. If the numbers hold, ABC will renew.

Also! The Voice ratings tend to adjust up a 10th in the afternoon final update, so watch out for that.
