This is old news, but may be new to you? Mary J. Blige will act as an adviser to Adam Levine on the fall edition of The Voice.
According to Rolling Stone, the duo have already started filming together. Mary J. comments, “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.”
So…you can cross Mary J. Blige off that list of possible American Idol judges! And she won’t be assisting her pal, Jimmy Iovine any time soon again, either. She mentored the Season 11 Top 13 back in March.
It was already announced that Michael Buble would be on hand to assist Team Blake Shelton. No word yet on who will be helping Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.
The next cycle of The Voice premiers September 10th on NBC.
