The Voice Knockout: Hailey Green vs Libianca Crush Blake Shelton’s Soul

The Voice 21 Knockouts Hailey Green and Libianca

The Voice 21 Knockouts begin next week. Check out a preview featuring Team Blake Shelton artists Hailey Green and Libianca fighting for a spot in the live shows.

Gritty country singer, Hailey Green, performs Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country” while pop R&B artist Libianca covers Billie Eilish’s“everything i wanted.”

Ariana Grande calls Hailey brave to sing Blake’s song “right in front of him,” adding that Hailey’s voice is “strong and powerful.” As far as Libianca is concerned, Ariana loves how she switched up the melody, and saved her high note until the very end. She would give the Knockout to Libianca.

John Legend also remarks on Hailey’s powerful voice, that “just filled up this room with energy,” he says. He wondered how Libianca would follow up. But then the singer delivered “a masterclass in vocals.” He also loves her outfit! He would also choose Labianca.

Kelly Clarkson compares Hailey to a “baby Janis Joplin.” She adds, “I haven’t really heard a female in that lane since Gretchen Wilson.” However, Libianca “had so much cool texture and vibe,” says Kelly. Ultimately, Kelly leans toward Hailey because she doesn’t think “anyone on the show is doing that.”

“I’ve literally lost years off my life trying to get through that vocal,” Blake says of Hailey’s cover of his song, adding “Holy crap!” Blake notes that Libianca had a hard time getting through the song in rehearsals. “To see you pull it together and do it,” he says, “That’s incredible.”

“This one is soul crushing,” said Blake, who has a hard decision to make. Find out on Monday October 25 on NBC at 8 pm whom he chooses to send to the live shows. Will another coach steal the loser?

Speaking of steals–each coach gets to steal one singer from another team. Also, pop star Ed Sheeran serves as Mega Mentor.
