The Voice: Jordan Smith Set for Holiday Concert Special

The Voice 9 winner Jordan Smith is set for his first holiday special, a concert special titled after his new Christmas album, Tis the Season. It appears the special will be syndicated, (It will air on PBS stations) according to People magazine.

To accompany his first-ever holiday album, ‘Tis the Season, the season 9 winner of The Voice will star in an hour-long Christmas concert special airing across the nation throughout the month of December (check your local listings with updates at JordanSmithOfficial.com).

“The special is about me inviting some of my fans, friends and family into the studio, and getting to play with a live band,” Smith tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I got to perform songs from my album ‘Tis the Season in an intimate studio setting, and I got to tell some stories behind the songs.”

Some of the classics performed include “O Holy Night,” “Silent Night,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” as well as “Mary, Did You Know,” which he performed during The Voice finale.

In addition to ‘Tis the Season, Jordan will also star in BYUtv’s Christmas Under the Stars on Nov. 26, the CMA Country Christmas special on Nov. 28 and NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center on Nov. 30. Currently, the singer is on tour with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith through Dec. 18. Click for Jordan’s concert schedule.

“Getting to perform these holiday songs for people every night is so uplifting and inspiring,” he says. “They hold so many memories for people, so getting to share that with everyone is really rewarding.”
