The Voice Blind Audition: Anna Grace Sings Billie Eilish Gets 4 Turns Video

The Voice 20 Blind Auditions Anna Grace Billie Eilish My Future

On The Voice Blind Auditions 5, all 4 coaches turn their chairs for 20 year old Anna Grace as she performs a jazzy and beautifully phrased version of “my future” by Billie Eilish.

Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas and John Legend hit their buttons right away, while Blake Shelton joins in at the end.

After her performance, the Milwaukee native shared that she loves music and that it’s gotten her through some “really hard times.”

John loves “all the nuance” that Anna showed in her performance, adding that she “made such cool choices musically.”

Kelly loves the ethereal quality of the song, and loves that it gave Anna the opportunity to use her head voice a lot.  “It’s just a really cool contemporary take on an old school vibe,” she says. Kelly has already thought of several songs she’d like to hand to the singer. However, she noticed a couple of spots where Anna had pitch problems. Kelly feels she can help her with breath control. Nevertheless, Kelly calls the performance “intimate and believable.”

Blake thought Anna did “a really good job walking a line between the way Billie Eilish approaches her vocals and also being certain we’re aware of your range.”  Blake promises to help protect who she is as an artist. He jokes that Nick said Anna would sound good singing country.

Speaking of Nick, he calls Anna one of the best voices the show has heard so far this season. After, Nick does a bit where he pretends he did research on the internet, and found memes casting his fellow coaches in a negative light. Hardeeharhar. The Blake “puppy hater” meme is kind of funny, though.

Who does Anna choose as her coach? Tune into The Voice on NBC, Monday March 15 at 8 pm ET/PT to find out!
