iTunes Chart Numbers (12 pm snapshot):

There were a few surprises for me here. Mia Z’s poor showing in the chart is a head scratcher. I thought she killed it last night. I didn’t expect her to land at the top, but mid chart at least! Could she actually be in danger this week? Joshua Davis is the dark horse, ya’ll. Even with that sleepy rendition of America, he still charted at #25, the first behind this week’s frontrunners. Speaking of which–Sawyer Fredericks, Kimberly Nichole and Meghan Linsey showings on the chart were entirely expected. There seems to be NO stopping Sawyer.

I was also a little surprised that Corey Kent White didn’t chart higher. He’s a cute, sincere country boy who sang a popular hit. But maybe Sawyer inhabits that country slot by default now. India Carney is still not connecting to viewers commensurate with her talent. She seems to be destined to go the mid-pack way of big voiced singers like Judith Hill. Whoa Brian Johnson. I thought his performance this week was better than last, and there he is, dwelling in the sub-basement. Maybe super-corny songs like “At This Moment” are the way to go for him. Performing second could not have helped. He’ll probably not get another chance, however.  If Deanna Johnson continues to choose Christian songs, she could carve out a little niche for herself.

The Voice 8 – Top 12 – Favorite OVERAll Team

  3. Team Blake 9.68%
  4. Team Adam 4.29%

  4. Corey Kent White 8.95%

The Voice 8 – Top 12– Who WILL Go Home

Ditto.  The vote for Brian is overwhelmingly ahead of everyone else.

  1. Brian Johnson 65.21%
  2. Hannah Kirby 16.34%
  3. Deanna Johnson 4.53%
  4. Rob Taylor 3.56%
  5. Mia Z 2.1%
  6. Corey Kent White 2.1%
  7. India Carney 1.29%
  8. Joshua Davis 1.29%
  9. Koryn Hawthorne 1.13%
  10. Sawyer Fredericks 1.13%
  11. Kimberly Nichole 0.97%
  12. Meghan Linsey 0.32%

Prediction:  Brian Johnson & Hannah Kirby will sing for their lives tonight. But who will be in that third spot? Only Rob Taylor would be in danger if he had to sing against those two. Mia Z. or India Carney would sing their way out of that situation. If I HAVE to choose a third singer, I pick Rob Taylor. Either Rob or Hannah will be saved, depending on the performance. If I HAD to pick…THIS IS HARD. Rob Taylor puts on a great show and wins the save. Hannah Kirby and Brian Johnson head home.
