Sneak a peek at Monday night’s new episode of The Voice as Brian Johnson battles Joshua Davis by singing Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.”
Monday’s The Voice will be a combo episode that begins with the last of the Blind Auditions, and ends with a kick off of the Battle Rounds! Brian and Joshua are members of Team Blake Shelton. The coach will have a difficult decision to make, choosing between two very talented singers.
After the performance, fellow coach, Christina Aguilera noted that she loves Joshua’s “beautiful tone.” She says that his voice “just cuts right through.” Christina appreciates Brian’s talent too. “You have a lot of personality in your voice,” she says.
Joshua’s baby son cries right on cue! Momma quietly leaves the studio to feed him. Aw.
“I’m with Christina,” adds Pharrell. “You can’t pick. Both you guys have incredible voices and he [pointing to Blake] has an incredible decision to make.”
Adam guarantees that whoever loses the battle will be stolen–a relief for BOTH singers. Blake mentions that Brian’s vocals made mentor, Meghan Trainor, cry during rehearsals. Joshua has, says Blake, “What we wish we all had–that raspy sound that has some range.”
